Job Description
**Quality Control Technician** $16-$8/hr.
+ 1 st shift 6am-4:30pm
+ **High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution**
+ **1-2 years experience or Associates Degree preferred**
This position is responsible to ensure the quality processing to our customer specifications consistent with established procedures by performing the below listed duties. The essential duties need to be completed with a sense of urgency and accuracy to meet internal and external customer expectations.
**Essential Duties / Responsibilities**
+ Provide Quality Control support to production and engineering
+ Perform inspection of final product as required
+ Provide QC support for receiving of external product
+ Data collection & analysis, as needed
+ Compliant with all training, quality, compliance and safety policies, practices and procedures
+ Keeps management aware of any problems or potential problems in the quality of the product
+ Enter scrap, rework, rejection, claim and inspection data
+ Use of basic inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, depth gage, height gage, etc.)
+ All other responsibilities assigned by Manager
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Ability to read and understand work instructions, documents, correspondence and memos.
+ Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
+ Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
+ Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Must be proficient with blue print reading
+ Must be able to multi-task, have a positive attitude and handle pressure under deadlines in a professional manner
+ Must have excellent attendance and be dependable
**Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
+ 1-2 years experience or Associates Degree preferred
+ Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

**Job Goals:**
This position will actively assist operators by providing support in resolving manufacturing problems and questions. The role will share responsibility with monitoring performance, maintaining process flow, and generating process improvements against losses. This role is also responsible for compiling, analyzing, and addressing department variances (Labor & Material)
Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.
**Education, Skills and Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ 2 Year technical degree or equivalent preferred
+ 3-5 yrs. experience in manufacturing required
+ Intermediate level or higher in production strongly preferred
+ **Proficient in use of computers and spreadsheet software with experience with business systems**
+ Knowledge of products, equipment, and processes.
+ Understanding of SOP's including quality, ISO and GMP.
+ Proficient at interpreting requirements and information from production paperwork, job sheets, batch records, DMRs.
+ Efficient and willingness to perform required work with good attendance and attitude.
+ Strong leadership skills, be a strategic thinker and have a good focus on profitability.

+ Monitors performance and achieves objectives related to safety, quality, environmental efficacy, timeliness and cost effectiveness of work within the department
+ Drives continuous improvement and documents same utilizing ECN's, Kaizens (A3), Q-18's, PI's, etc.
+ Understand and consistently enforce company policies and practices.
+ Coach/Mentor Operators to improve quality and efficiency.
+ Participate in daily Gemba walks on Production Floor.
Acts as backup for Production Supervisor
