Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Control Line Lead is responsible for inspecting and leading multiple production lines and assuring the quality and grade of all products that are processed through Szawlowski Farms, LLC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain packing schedules for each line and determine who, what, where, and amount of product is assigned to each. Ensure personnel are at correct lines and monitor attendance. Report any absences and tardiness to the supervisor
- Inspect incoming and outgoing product.
- Learn customer specifications and assure that all finished product is meeting those specifications. Assure that all outgoing product is within grade. Work closely with the QC Manager and Production Personnel to ensure quality is met.
- Understand proper procedures for handling and storage of fresh potatoes to maximize safety, shelf life, and minimize damage.
- With the existing packing warehouse inventory and finished product work with graders to examine, improve, and implement product safety, quality, and inventory control practices.
- Ensure graders are picking product correctly and assess the consistency of picked product
- Monitor what PO # is used if any irregular defects need attention and maintain a checklist for each.
- Maintain a checklist for each PO # that is packed. Report any problematic abnormalities
- Check pick out bin and adjust lines when necessary
- Ensure color, size, variety, and count are consistent throughout the run. This includes master sacks that are used
- Assist Machine Operators in adjusting speed of lines contingent with Q & C of product to ensure they are running at maximum speed
- Maintain open communication with supervisors, managers, line personnel, machine operators and utilize staff in order to achieve the above expectations
- Maintain records and reports to send to buyers and production concerning the quality of the product
- Adhere to USDA Standards, Szawlowski Farms, LLC, and Customer Standards to the best of your ability.
- Work at several different areas throughout the plant, inspect, re-inspect, and forward the findings to appropriate personnel.
- Accurately report findings for the day, flagging high priority loads to QC managers
- Help maintain records of equipment
- Good math skills and the ability to calculate percentages is required
- Must understand that working hours may be irregular

All mis-select errors and shortages are corrected as necessary based on the customer contract. After audit is validated product is reloaded onto pallet and returned to dock or trailer.

+ Earn: $21.00 per hour
+ Shift: Monday - Friday, Weekends as needed
+ 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
+ Location: North Hatfield, MA
**Description**
+ Validate physical product matches the customer order using a handheld scanner. Product is scanned and compared to system billed quantity. Scan and unload product to the floor performing a physical count to the scanner count. All errors found are root caused by reviewing actual and surrounding pick slots. All mis-select errors and shortages are corrected as necessary based on the customer contract. After audit is validated product is reloaded onto pallet and returned to dock or trailer.
+ Carry out quality checks related to pallet construction. Product wrapped, stacked and positioned well on pallet and in good condition
+ Unload pallets by operating electronic pallet jack or identify random pallet not yet loaded for audit.
