**Job Description**
**About the Team:** Join a dynamic and collaborative team at ZF Foxconn's Tuscaloosa, AL facility, where we specialize in the production of front and rear axle assemblies for leading automotive manufacturers. Our plant is home to approximately 260 dedicated employees and is a key contributor to ZF's regional operations. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will report directly to the Regional Engineering Manager and play a vital role in driving engineering projects that enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation across our production lines.
**What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:**
+ Develop assembly concepts in consideration of ZF Chassis Module Systems (Work Plan / Investment Plan / Assembly Line Layout / Project Timing).
+ Support in acquisition projects for the production area.
+ Prepare RFQ for equipment supplier and manage the integration.
+ Support launch & commissioning of new assembly equipment / new products.
+ Prepare and maintain PFMEAS's, value stream & standard work instructions.
+ Serve as a liaison with the customer for interpretation and devleopment of new solutions.
+ Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Determines product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, according to specifications and quality standards.
**Your profile as a Manufacturing Engineer:**
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering preferred).
+ 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
+ Good mechanical and technical skills.
+ Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, CAD, and SAP skills.
+ Good time management & prioritizing skills.
+ Willingness to travel if needed.
+ **Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.**

**Job Description**
**About the Team:** At ZF Foxconn in Tuscaloosa, the Manufacturing Engineer will join a dynamic maintenance team of 15 professionals, including two experienced engineers-this role will be the third. The team is responsible for supporting the assembly of front and rear axle assemblies, working closely with maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all equipment on the assembly lines. This includes robots, PLCs, and torque tools. The engineer will play a key role in process planning, implementing standardized work, and driving continuous improvement across the operation.
**What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:**
+ Making changes to enhance the machine functionality of the equipment, continuously improve/upgrade equipment using six sigma/lean principles, and troubleshoot and solve errors/problems on production equipment.
+ Ensuring the work environment, equipment and processes are in safe condition and meet or exceed OSHA requirements.
+ Analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designing layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Determining product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials or parts, according to specifications and quality standards.
+ Contacting potential suppliers for production equipment and supports the final technical choice.
+ Overseeing implementation of the equipment on the floor from delivery to hand off to production, and estimating production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
+ Estimating future manufacturing requirements and potential, help to ensure that the quality of the product produced meets all customer requirements.
+ Other Duties as related to this position.
**Your Profile as a Manufacturing Engineer:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering
+ 0-2+ years of experience (internship/co-op included)
+ Proficient computer skills with Microsoft and CAD software.
+ Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner.
+ Excellent communications capabilities with both verbal and written means.
+ Good time management and prioritizing skills
+ A working knowledge of statistical methods and SPC charts.
