The Manufacturing Engineering Technician Specialist may plan, research, develop, and perform manufacturing engineering assignments including, process planning, creating and updating standards, and methods improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Contribute to facility transformation, technology transfer and ongoing maintenance of mixed model manufacturing and/or value streams.
- Ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures, and process documentation.
- Implement demand driven principles and strategies that support operational excellence and long-range plans. (Flexibility, Speed & Responsiveness)
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for costing of new products and special projects.
- Use continuous improvement tools to implement process improvements that will reduce cycle time, process variation, defects, changeover time, and lead times.
- Participate in area layouts, process definition, and fixture implementation.
- Act as an advocate between Design Engineering and Operations.
- Act as an Infor XA Super User within functional area as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in a technical discipline is preferred or 3-5 years related technical experience.
- Experience using Infor XA or equivalent ERP system.
- Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of lean principles and process improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

We are currently hiring for 3rd (10pm-6am) shift plant operators. The pay is $25.37/hour after 60 days with the certification pay and shift premium pays an additional $.50/hr for 3rd shift after 4 months! That is 26.87/hour at four months of employment! On top of that, time and a half overtime (up to 40/hour) is paid after 8 hours in day so if you are looking for additional hours and pay this is a great job for you! Competitive insurance benefits start day one of employment! This includes medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance. Overtime and Saturday work may be required. It is anticipated to work around 2 Saturdays a month.
Job Duties- As a Production Manufacturing Operator, you'll play an important role in making sure our dairy and plant based processing lines run smoothly. This includes operating the equipment, packaging the final product and performing many different quality checks to make sure we're meeting customer requirements.
- The safety of our food and our partners are our No. 1 priority. That's why you'll be expected to follow good manufacturing practices and housekeeping guidelines, wear designated personal protective equipment (such as gloves, hard hat, apron, etc.) and meet OSHA safety requirements.
- Operate cheese processing equipment & wrapping equipment
- Perform clean-up duties
