**Manufacturing Engineer**
+ **Location:** 100% ONSITE - Salt Lake City, Utah (84120)
+ **Duration:** 12 month (contract extension potential)
+ **Type** : W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)

**Duties Include:**
+ Document and improve manufacturing processes and operations that control the safety and efficacy of finished devices.
+ Conduct qualification, verification, and validation activities for the production of medical devices
+ Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to the safety, efficacy, quality, cost, or delivery of components and finished devices.
+ Complete engineering work and contribute to new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: technology development, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, Six Sigma, process study, process improvements, and report preparation.
+ Develop manufacturing equipment in compliance with manufacturing safety (e.g., OSHA & EPA) principles.
+ Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
+ Participate in design control efforts related to risk analysis (FMEA) & design reviews.
+ Participate on cross-functional project teams. Coordinate, manage, and document project work and progress, and recommend appropriate revisions.
+ Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments. Analyze data, draw conclusions, and summarize test results. Communicate results to manager.
+ Interfaces with product builders or extrusion technicians, production supervisors, and engineers in troubleshooting problems on the production floor.
**Participates in project teams typically including one of the following:**
+ Identifying and implementing process/product improvement alternatives to increase/optimize yield, efficiency, throughput, and/or performance.
+ Designing, performing, and documenting engineering test experiments to evaluate product/process performance.
+ Designing, developing, testing, and validating equipment and processes; analyzing and interpreting process models and recommending process improvements.
+ Evaluating external process technologies.
+ Coordinates with the appropriate suppliers and other external resources needed in developing and implementing process/product improvement plans.
+ Participates in project planning and scheduling.
+ Attends and contributes to production core team meetings.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

+ Must have 3 years working experience in a digital manufacturing environment using core systems
**Required for Both Levels:**
+ US Citizenship with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
+ Previous experience working manufacturing engineering on EMD/LRIP/Production Programs
**These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:**
+ Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or in a manufacturing engineering related field
+ Previous experience in production for a military program
+ Previous experience on EMD projects
+ Prior experience with Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM)
+ Experience working Designs into preproduction & production
+ Experience with Siemens NX tools, Model based engineering, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
+ Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages and other electronic databases
Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $05,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: 86,600.00 - 130,000.00

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise employees and manufacturing activities pertaining to the production of products and/or manufacturing processes in - and with manufacturing/technical knowledge of - 2 or more production areas, depending on the complexity of the areas, to ensure the specifications and procedures of the company, in addition to conducting performance reviews, including resolving performance issues
- Oversee the scheduling of work orders and team performance metrics

- Lead improvement projects, partner with engineering on investigations and/or corrective actions, perform non-conformance investigations for review with engineering, assures documentation content is valid including designing, implementing and optimizing procedures and working methods
- Ensure appropriate staffing for all positions
- Perform daily audit to ensure employees are in adherence to manufacturing procedures
- Other incidental duties (e.g. occasional photo copying or deliveries)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in in related field (e.g, industrial, chemical, electrical, mechanical) or substantial technical , 2 years years experience previous related experience Required
substantial technical knowledge and experience in assigned work area, and sufficient experience in related manufacturing, quality and/or product development engineering, with skill levels exceeding the requirements of the Supervisor I Required

Additional Skills:
