The Opportunity

Responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering assignments within an assigned manufacturing cell.
  1. Performs engineering assignments involving limited responsibility in any of such areas as tool design, n/c programming, and manufacturing planning.
  2. Responsible for coordination and follow-up of engineering assignments through communication with other concerned personnel.
  3. Performs other engineering tasks within the cell as assigned.

Qualifications

Related experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree. Minimum one to two years experience and satisfactory performance as a Manufacturing Planner. Independent action required within the limits of standard practice. Probable errors are not apparent and may affect other departments causing delays or loss of material. No supervisory responsibility. Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality Policy.

Summary

  • Applying coatings as specified on OEM equipment.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a **Manufacturing Technician 1/ Manufacturing Tech 2** based out of **Clearfield, UT** .
**This position will support our C shift (3/12's schedule, WEEKEND DAYS) production.**
This role can be filled at a Manufacturing Technician Level 1 or Manufacturing Technician Level 2 depending on the qualifications below.
**What you'll get to do:**
As a Manufacturing Technician you work on the next generation composite structures.
This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming and final finishing. It will require development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce product that meet our customer expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based.
**Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 1:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications
+ Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, and kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds and working overhead
+ Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
+ Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.
**Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 2:**
+ High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing environment
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications
+ Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, and kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds and working overhead
+ Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
+ Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Composite experience and/or certification
+ Aerospace assembly
+ Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures

Primary Level Salary Range: $17.45 - $9.09
Secondary Level Salary Range: 20.72 - 34.57
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
