RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
Other duties as assigned.
May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
Shifts available are 6am-2pm, 2pm - 10pm, and 10pm to 6am
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED.
Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must be willing to work the first and second shift.
Must have a good attendance record.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.
Possess an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.

A Brief Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing productivity, and ensuring quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing process improvements, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and collaborating across teams to drive efficient, high-quality production operations.
What you will do
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices.
- Support the introduction of new products by developing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment setups, and workflow designs that meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, establish root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
- Design, evaluate, and improve production line layouts and workflows to maximize throughput and operational efficiency.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet regulatory and quality requirements by developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and conducting regular process audits.
- Collect and analyze data related to process performance, downtime, and production quality. Utilize findings to make informed process improvements.
- Duties may vary slightly by location.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) (Required)
Experience Qualifications
- 4-6 years in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a focus on process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, or production optimization (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving tools like 5-Whys and Fishbone Diagrams. (High proficiency)
- Skilled in process design and layout planning to improve production line efficiency. (High proficiency)
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively. (High proficiency)
- Analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting. (High proficiency)

Available Roles:
Extrusion: This position is crucial in creating the plastic film that forms the basis for our bags. The Extrusion Line Operator oversees the filming production, ensuring quality and safety while maintaining communication with all plant departments to produce top-notch base film.
Press: A key role that adds the visual elements (ink) to our manufactured bags.
Converting: Our largest operation, where film is transformed into bags. This role requires setting up machines to convert rolls of printed or plain film into bags of various sizes and shapes according to customer specifications.
Notice: This position is subject to pre-employment and random post-employment drug testing. Drug and alcohol testing will also be conducted in cases of reasonable suspicion and post-accident as deemed necessary.
