JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Work in a high-speed manufacturing environment

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment with a focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and efficiency

  • Perform quality, maintenance, and housekeeping checks and record numerical results in various computer system programs

  • Analyze process data to make decisions on equipment maintenance and process improvement activities

  • Adhere to plant safety and sanitation requirements; complete assigned work safely and efficiently per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)

  • Assist with process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodology including root cause analysis, process flow maps, etc.

  • Clearly document and communicate maintenance and quality events using computer reporting systems

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Mechanical troubleshooting/maintenance experience required. Successful candidates typically have three or more years of experience in the below:

  • Proficient knowledge of precision measurements and pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to identify a problem and use analytical skills to identify the root cause and implement sustainable solutions

  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures required (e.g. lock out /tag out, confined space entry, etc.)

**Job Summary:**
The Manufacturing Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining our TIPQA Enterprise Quality Assurance and/or Solumina Operations Process Management software. These applications manage work and quality processes for the manufacturing of highly engineered products. **Key Responsibilities**
+ Provide support, maintenance, and enhancements for multiple existing implementations of TIPQA or Solumina across different Teledyne Business Units.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues, collaboration with the Application Administrator and local IT, or escalating to the vendor's Technical Support as needed to address items in a timely manner.
+ Business and systems analysis resulting in documented business processes and requirements that meet multi-disciplined Quality, MES and manufacturing requirements.
+ Perform software configurations, as well as create test case/use cases, go-live plans and other items to successfully deliver major enhancements or new modules.
+ Independently manage small application related projects.
+ Monitor and support data exchange between these applications and other systems like Costpoint and Dynafact.
+ Implement and test application enhancements to improve performance and user experience.
+ Facilitate functional and IT testing as part of implementing patches or upgrades, while ensuring risk mitigation and smooth deployment.
+ Facilitate business reporting needs through creation and maintenance of dashboards, SSRS reports, and other data requests.
+ Work closely with other cross-functional team members to meet internal customer expectations and timelines.
**Qualifications:**
**Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
+ 3+ years of experience supporting complex applications, ideally manufacturing related systems such as TipQA, Solumina, or similar MES/QMS platforms.
+ Proficiency with one or more of the following: SQL, SSRS, server administration.
+ The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with experience in quality and manufacturing process optimization using electronic systems and tools in highly regulated environments.

**What You Will You Do:**
The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the production of turbine airfoils.
Responsibilities:
+ Day-to-day leadership, direction & coordination of Pratt & Whitney support organizations and suppliers focusing on application of advanced coating systems
+ Process development, staffing and training, as well as the installation and startup of advanced coating equipment, which includes surface preparation and overlay coating finishing equipment
+ Create technical requirements and optimize process parameters required to support the overlay coating processes
+ Support and setup of the organizational infrastructure within the manufacturing environment ranging from business data collection and design of suitable metrics to characterize plant performance, to the operational details of material and part flow during the advanced coating process
+ Policy creation and deployment in the areas of EHS, lean manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction
+ Keep current on status and recent developments in the plant / industry / profession
+ Embrace CORE, promote principles and contribute to achieving/maintaining goals as a team
+ Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly
+ Promote corporate code of ethical standards and business practice and company policies
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineer /5+ years related experience (a comparable combination of education & experience will be considered)
+ Experience with thermal barrier coatings (Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition-EBPVD) or plasma spraying process (Air Plasma Spray-APS) a plus
+ Six Sigma green or black belt training and/or lean manufacturing training a plus
