This position is available for permanent replacement employees due to the ongoing economic strike at Teasdale Latin Foods' Hoopeston location.
Overview: Industrial and Manufacturing Electricians are responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repair tasks. This role supports the maintenance team in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems and equipment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine electrical maintenance tasks, such as replacing fuses, bulbs, and wiring, under the guidance of senior electricians.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues, such as short circuits, faulty wiring, and control panel malfunctions, using technical manuals and schematics.
- Support preventative maintenance technicians in completing electrical PM tasks as needed.
- Conduct visual inspections of electrical systems to identify wear, damage, or potential hazards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols, GMP, and food safety regulations.
- Document maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent, in the CMMS.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and testing of new electrical equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in an electrical maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Skills and Experience:- 10+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is required, experience in advanced manufacturing is a plus
- 5+ years of proven supervisory/ leadership experience
- Supervisory experience in aerospace environment is preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Advanced Manufacturing, Aeronautics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment is desirable
- Experience using MES and ERP systems
- Proven ability to work effectively across departments, and align on goals
- Ability to lead by example, to build positive and productive work relationships
- Experience driving performance and behavioral accountability within work team
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet customer timelines.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
