Unique formulations are designed to meet customer needs and optimize battery performance. The Sol-Rite electrolyte formulation mainly consists of organic solvents such as ethylene carbonate and lithium salt electrolytes such as LiPF6. In addition, patented technologies and know-how are incorporated into the formulations to control the solid electrolyte interface on the cathode and anode.**
Job Purpose
The primary function of this position is the efficient production of electrolyte solution for lithium-ion batteries. In addition, the individual will be responsible for clean room routines, recording and reviewing documentation, and supporting environmental monitoring routines.
Principal Accountabilities
+ Identify and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe working conditions.
+ Operate production equipment in the manufacturing of chemical products according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Operating Discipline Principles and Practices.
+ Set-up, operate, clean and monitor processing equipment.
+ Complete production records and maintain a clean work environment.
+ Maintain skills necessary to operate all equipment in the unit as required by operating/safety procedures.
+ Initiate service requests and notify supervision regarding status of equipment. malfunctions and troubleshoot process issues as needed.
+ Perform safe-outs, lockouts, tag outs and tryouts.
+ All other duties assigned by supervision.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
+ 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment with chemical experience a plus.
+ Must possess high school education or GED, two-year degree or technical school desired.
+ Must possess applicable Silver level WorkKeys scores - Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Locating Information, Reading for Information.
+ Ability to obtain lift truck certification.
+ Must be computer literate and competent in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
+ Problem solving skills to resolve quality or production problems that may arise.
+ Technical ability to identify and anticipate problems and resolve them before they occur; confidence in job knowledge to make critical operating decisions.
+ Ability to work a rotating shift; weekends; holidays; overtime; and respond to callouts.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as a team.
