Join our dynamic team at the Windsor Production facility, where we're looking to welcome new Production Team Members for a 12-hour evening/day shifts. This role offers the unique chance to collaborate in the creation of wind turbine blades, crafting them from fiberglass and other materials. You'll play a pivotal role in energizing homes across the US by bringing these monumental products to life.
The Blades Factory in Windsor produces blades for the new V163-4.5 MW turbine as well as the 2 MW platform in our 666,000 square feet of building space on 161 acres of land. The components manufactured at our Windsor factory are used primarily in Turbines in North America, as well as being exported to Mexico, Urguay, Brazil, and Europe.
**What does a Production Team Member do?**
+ Efficiently operates manufacturing equipment with a strong commitment to safety protocols
+ Adheres to Process Work Instructions and engages in manual production processing to accurately fit and assemble components, such as bolts, screws, shafts, or bearings into a complete assembly.
+ Exceed our production benchmarks by completing specific tasks within the designated timeframe, playing a key role in the collective success of our team objectives.
+ Lift, position, and/or remove material from work areas.
+ Load, stack and transport materials by hand, truck, crane or jib
+ Read and comprehend Work Process Instructions and translate that into the ability to perform the tasks.
+ As well as any ad hoc duties that may be assigned.

**What skills/abilities must I have to qualify?**

The Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate manufacturing processes to increase production and make processes more efficient while reducing manufacturing costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Owns entire process of the wire bonding program from start to finish across three tools, maintenance, programming, and troubleshooting
o This includes production wire bonding when applicable
- Assists with line capacity planning and is responsible for yield improvements in collaboration with management and inputs from engineering sections globally
- Follows up on daily production issues, leads the team to increase yield, improving product quality and manufacturing cost reductions

-5-10 years of electronics Manufacturing Engineering experience (preferably in semiconductor, automotive, or microelectronics)
-Bachelor's degree required
-Strong program management of Wire Bonding (for Integrated Power Electronics Modules/IPEM) in electronics, semi, or automotive industries
-Understanding of how wire bonding tools work and how to repair them (bond head changes, rethreads, troubleshooting)
-Experience working with solder alloys, adhesives and encapsulants, and aluminum wire

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will utilize their problem-solving and analytical skills while collaborating on projects with the design, quality, supply chain and operations departments to ensure seamless production and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will exercise their strong communication skills when providing product application support to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be diligent about staying updated with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance their skills and knowledge, while contributing to Solve’s continued growth and success. **This position will sit in our Loveland, OH location**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare engineered solution documents and presentations, including engineering drawings, CAD models, project proposals and product literature
  • Design and optimize tooling, fixtures, and work instructions for production operations, while implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Reverse-engineering of products to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, processes and equipment
  • Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning to balance workloads, and develop and maintain corresponding SOP’s and process documentation
  • Train and support operators, technicians and production associates in best practices to ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to confirm product specifications, verify drawings, validate product quality and maintain effective production standards
  • Assist with quoting special projects and provide technical product expertise, calculations and support to customers and sales team
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and reliability
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar) and ERP/MRP systems
  • Solid working knowledge of machining, assembly, automation and other manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or similar)
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) implementation experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Experience with bearings and mechanical power transmission products
  • Automated production process experience

**Job Description:**
Work day is 12.0 hours alternating between 3 and 4 day work weeks.
A Shift schedule is 6:00am-6:00pm Sun, Mon, Tue, every other Wed
B Shift schedule is 6:00am-6:00pm Thu, Fri, Sat, every other Wed
C Shift schedule is 6:00pm-6:00am Sun, Mon, Tue, every other Wed
D Shift schedule is 6:00pm-6:00am Thu, Fri, Sat, every other Wed
**Applicants for night shift openings (working 6:00pm-6:00am) strongly preferred.**
Typically 8-10 hours per day are spent standing and walking while continuously lifting and moving boxes of wafers weighing approximately 10 lbs. Work time is spent in a cleanroom environment wearing a full body, head to foot, cleanroom suit. Additional Personal Protective Equipment must also be worn when handling or working indirectly with hazardous materials.
- Job Summary:
Performs a variety of functions in the production of semiconductor devices that include using wafer fabrication tools and processes, testing product, and delivering product to work areas. Must have an uncompromising dedication to following safety procedures and protocol. Uses written procedures and process specifications in completing assignments. Works collaboratively and professionally in a team environment to achieve production goals.
- Skill:
Leads in a team environment to maximize quality and throughput in a safe manner. Has an understanding of customer and vendor relationships within the factory. Ability to train team members to process and equipment procedures. Applies knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing to avoid quality issues. Depth of tool knowledge enables highly productive use of equipment sets and proactive management of tool issues.
- Job Complexity:
Works on assignments that may be complex in nature, requiring judgment and troubleshooting skills. Basic process decision-making required. Assignments may span multiple work areas. Uses broad job knowledge to drive operating improvements.
- Supervision:
Ability to work with minimal supervision. May take team leadership roles to coordinate activities on a daily basis.
- Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent or GED.
· Previous manufacturing experience preferred

**Compensation and Benefits**
The salary range for this position is $20.50 - $22.00 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.
