As a **Manufacturing Engineer** supporting 3M Hutchinson, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
+ Working in a team environment with operators, maintenance, engineers, supply chain and business roles to identify opportunities and bring resolution to gaps in performance.
+ Identifies, recommends, initiates, and leads continuous improvement as well as capital projects in area of responsibility to improve process safety, product quality, service and OEE through the use of a variety of toolsets, including: DMAIC, standard work development, tier reviews, product & process understanding and kaizens
+ Creates, maintains and trains workforce on standard work and production standards to ensure process meets customer requirements and product claims.
+ Lead local Management of Change projects focused on communication, risk evaluation and execution of process and product changes.
+ Fosters and cultivates an extensive network of support and resources (operators, maintenance, manufacturing, safety, quality, laboratory, engineering, marketing and financial) to work as a cross functional team to execute business needs.
+ Operations run multiple shifts. The position is primarily a day shift role, but some off shift coverage will be required.
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
+ 5+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting with demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills. Self-starter and able to drive multiple projects
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills. Practical, detail oriented and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data driven decision making
+ Demonstrated experience successfully leading multi-functional teams through projects from planning to completion utilizing lean methodology, statistics, SPC and DOE
+ Experience in web handling, coating, solvent recovery, slitting, converting or PLC controls & programming
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication and organization skills

Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring all Cambria processed product meets the predetermined quality standards and specifications. This is done by inspecting all finished product that is being produced. This position also provides timely feedback to the proper departments when there are quality concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare finished product for quality control testing
- Perform Quality Control testing on finished product using defined procedures and test methods
- Inspect finished product before it's shipped to customers and/or distribution centers
- Maintain documentation related to all quality tests and inspections
- Perform quality audits to ensure conformance to standard operating procedures
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Additional duties as assigned by management
- Ability to use measuring tools
- Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
- Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation

Cambria's starting hourly range for this position is $17.15 - $22.66. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This position may be eligible for a 15% shift differential which would be applied to the base hourly rate for all hours worked during designated overnight shift periods. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
