We are searching for a construction leader for our Advanced Manufacturing Core Market (AMCM) for the Charlotte-Greenville business unit, specifically focused on the development and growth of the Advanced Manufacturing markets within the upstate of South Carolina and western North Carolina. We are seeking a candidate to supplement and collaborate with the local teams in our Greenville, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina offices.
The candidate should have approximately 15 years' Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) experience in the construction industry, with a focus on the Advanced Manufacturing market, and a broad understanding of the clients, range of delivery means, and methods utilized in the Carolinas. Experience should include projects ranging from small cap to $150M+ in total installed cost.
Candidate should exhibit strong people skills suitable for attracting and retaining personnel, as well as developing and maintaining strong client relationships. One could come from peer EPC organizations, industry suppliers or clients, but must have direct construction experience in the Advanced Manufacturing market.

In this position one will engage with regional and core market leadership. Additionally, they will serve as point of contact for AMCM clients who are expecting a "one DPR" project delivery execution approach across various projects. Responsible for the growth, development and sharing of resources across the local AMCM.

General Scope of Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility. Incorporates operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and cost control policies and practices into manufacturing processes. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Collaborates with Supervisors to manage and resolve workforce issues and develop solutions. Ensures that facility milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure manufacturing floor is in compliance with all safety regulations
- Establish goals for production and coordinate the optimal utilization of manufacturing workers and equipment to meet manufacturing goals.
- Prepare and deliver production reports weekly
- Assist in the justification, budgeting, and commissioning for new equipment.
- Coordinate manufacturing with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and other departments, as well as with vendors and shippers.
- Analyze manufacturing data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement; identify and utilize methods of making manufacturing process more efficient and effective.
- Direct corrective actions of any manufacturing problems that may arise; work with CITL in development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles, 5S practices, and other productivity improvement methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of organizations objectives.
- Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
- Participating actively in standardization and cost reduction projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Follow the prescribed safety regulations. Recognize and relay any potential safety hazards to the management and/or safety team. Always use appropriate PPE. Keep area properly stocked and maintained with needed materials to support production activity. Maintain the cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and overall plant utilizing 5S standards. Communicate housekeeping requirements to operators and lead by example. Perform machine operations on all equipment in each operation utilizing standard work procedures and meeting productivity targets to support operators, customer demand, and production of samples. Responsible for quality of work. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to a Technician/Engineer/QC member. Help operators detect questionable conditions. Record information on pass down logs as required. Help to maintain area documentation. Move batches in the manufacturing system as needed to ensure proper location and set up. Set-up and changeover of equipment to support production activity. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of production equipment through the guidance of the area technician. This may be accomplished through coordination with other maintenance and design support in KEMET. Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken. Strong quality consciousness and mechanical skills are required. Possess good time management skills and be self-motivated. Basic computer skills. Ability to use manufacturing operating system to move batch locations and navigate data entry screens.
