Define and maintain segment taxonomies, ensuring accuracy and hygiene of data for reporting purposes. Build and update dashboards to support GTM strategy, market coverage, and account prioritization. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research in collaboration with competitive intelligence and strategy teams. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to translate insights into actionable strategies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in market research, business intelligence, strategy, RevOps, or GTM roles. Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to bring structure to data from various sources. Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Excel, and data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau. Meticulous attention to detail, strong process orientation, and a proactive mindset. The BI Analyst will support the Business Intelligence Department by assisting with the collection of data from various sources to improve workflow efficiency and firmwide reporting. Position Details As Manager, Business Intelligence, you will lead the development analytical resources and drives advancement on tools and technology that impact the Merchandising team’s efforts to drive growth for Grainger through assortment ownership, product information management, and best-in-class published experiences. You will perform high impact statistical analysis to advance critical strategic and operational decisions, leads the alignment of business context with technology development partners, and fosters a culture and capability of data fluency amongst the broader Merchandising Strategy team. You will report to Sr. Mgr. Merchandising Operations, Analytics & Technology and is part of the Merchandising Strategy team. You Will • Lead and support a team to develop, maintain, and improve tools and visuals that facilitate performance tracking and analysis, support and improve decision-making, and drive operational improvements and efficiencies. • Function as a subject matter expert on the types of data and tools most relevant to the business units this team supports which may include web analytics, website optimization and relationship management tools to manage enterprise data (e.g. Product Information, Customer Information, etc). • Maintain an understanding of critical operational issues and needs of the business in order to anticipate and evaluate business requirements, trends, and variances, and provide perspective, reporting and analysis to drive improvements. • Lead efforts to convene business owners and technology and data partners to articulate needs, define and evaluate priorities, monitor execution of critical events and ensure awareness and understanding among stakeholders. • Develop and execute programs including department training, guides or work instructions, and mentorship in order to advance and sustain analytical, data, and technology acumen among the broader teams. • Coordinate the resolution of data availability, accuracy, completeness and consistency issues and facilitate break-fix activities, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis with both analytical tools sets and technology solutions. • Use your knowledge of business processes and overall acumen to link customer needs and behaviors to metrics and results.
