**Bus Mechanic**
As a Bus Mechanic, you will be working on buses, focusing on diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems, conducting minor engine work including transmissions, performing brake and oil changes, servicing AC units, and handling both interior and exterior body work. You will utilize hand tools and power drills to fix buses, conduct visual inspections before and after work, and ensure completion of up to 10 job orders daily.

**Job Description**
Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic where you will be responsible for mechanically repairing industrial equipment such as boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining smooth operations across our facility.
**Responsibilities**
+ Mechanically repair industrial equipment including boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a focus on hydraulics, including replacing pumps and hoses.
+ Perform alignment and troubleshooting of power trains, involving motors, couplings, and outputs.
+ Rebuild industrial machinery and handle breakdowns effectively.
+ Read and interpret blueprints for repair projects.
+ Utilize hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
+ Engage in MIG and STICK welding if trained, with opportunities for on-the-job welding training.
**Essential Skills**

+ Maintain regular vehicle maintenance on company vehicles (primarily delivery step vans, not excluding corp. cars);
+ Repair and maintain medium gas and diesel engines, brake systems, electrical systems, suspension systems and lift gates;
+ Conduct vehicle inspections;
+ Replace general automotive parts, including but not limited to brakes, tires, hoses, and belts;
+ Document vehicle repairs and inspections according to company guidelines;
+ Conduct all repairs in a safe and efficient manner;
+ Assist in more extensive repairs where needed, based on experience;
+ Follow all and any Company workplace conduct requirements and policies;
+ Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of role to support the business.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance and applicable state vehicle laws to meet required standards;
+ Military maintenance experience is a plus;
+ Proficient in preventive maintenance control systems and in parts procurement and inventory control;
+ Ability to multi task and work in a fast pace environment;
+ Maintain a collaborative and team oriented environment in the shop;
**Working Environment/Safety Requirements:**
+ Position is situated in a vehicle repair environment. Exposure to varying temperatures depending on geographical location.
+ This position requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
**Education/Experience:**
+ Two years or more of experience in all phases of fleet vehicle mechanical repairs including general maintenance and repair, wiring, engine overhaul and preventative maintenance scheduling.

**Requirements**

**Knowledge and Skills**
+ Current documented automotive mechanical experience
+ Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and a personal computer
+ Possesses a full complement of personal hand tools
+ **Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred at hire; required within six months of employment.**
+ Dependable with the ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday consistently
+ Available to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs
+ Wears personal protective equipment as required.
+ Works in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity (climatic conditions), exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, outside inclement weather, etc.

Who You Are:

As a Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Successful applicants must be able to work safely, perform part analysis on damaged parts and assist in inventory control or other duties, as necessary.

Talent Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing. 

Starting pay rate: $25.50/hour
