Job Purpose: 

The associate works with and/or may lead a diverse materials research team in coordinating/performing a full range of materials research, R-Theme project and work request activities relevant to departmental and organizational needs including Technical Pre-Investigation (TPI) in area of specialty, R-Theme project management, complex failure analysis testing and test development/execution support.  As a technical expert, the associate conducts review and initial sign off on all test results in area of technical specialty. May coordinate/oversee the work of technical contractors. Work assignments are performed within defined latitude for independent judgment, problem solving and decision making as well as defined parameters for accuracy, quality, efficiency and compliance with time schedules and applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Specific technical focus areas for the Materials Organics Group may include exterior trim and/or semi-structural resin parts; interior trim and coverings, and elastomeric-based chassis materials.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Applies engineering principles/experiences and extensive knowledge and understanding of Honda vehicle designs/functionality to ensure new material technology sensing in area of specialty is comprehensively conducted using various methods of investigation including on-line investigation, networking with local and overseas colleagues, and collaborating with material and part suppliers to gather/analyze technological data, determine feasibility, and present findings to technical management.
  • May act as Large Project Leader (LPL), Assistant Large Project Leader (ALPL) or Project Leader (PL) for assigned research projects, creating/managing project resources, overseeing/maintaining overall project schedule/budget/direction/progress including coordinating project targets with management, managing project work output of PLs and PICs, creating/updating material specifications and providing assistance or mentoring to PLs and PICs to ensure project quality/cost/specification targets are met.
  • Creates thorough development and research plans, communicates direction to technical management as well as to other related function areas (design, test, purchasing, etc.), conducts checks/reviews for technical specifications, and prepares material strategies in consideration of global and regional priorities
  • May act as department PL for assigned development models, either of significant derivative scope such as comprehensive regulation changes or significant styling/marketability updates or Full Model Change, participating in project team meetings, coordinating project resources to meet deadlines, initiating/proposing technical collaboration and negotiating strategically to gain acceptance of countermeasures to proposed design modifications.
  • As PIC for assigned research and development projects, leads and/or conduct project testing & evaluation of design parts/manufacturing processes through activities including planning/executing tests, conducting failure analysis, analyzing test results, creating/revising material specifications, interfacing with design engineers to propose design changes/recommend countermeasures to ensure parts meet design specifications, and creating/presenting final reports to technical management.
  • Leads new supplier qualification activities, directing activities including interfacing with laboratories selected to support project research, development, and/or testing to ensure new materials/parts quality standards are met and required documents such as confidentiality agreements/PRs are created/processed.
  • Expands technical capability, provides ideas to improve efficiency at all levels of group/department and participates in strategic planning.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline (e.g. Materials Science/Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering)
  • 8+ years of experience with BS or MS
  • Mastery of skills and techniques in area of expertise. Working knowledge of functions related to areas of expertise
  • Strong knowledge of HRA design processes and standards; strong skills in interpreting design drawings/layouts
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, technical mentoring, and relationship building skills
  • Excellent project management and process improvement skills
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skill

Working Conditions:

  • Travel: 1-2 times/month or more depending on project needs; includes possible international travel

Job Purpose

As a senior member of the Advanced CAE Department, you will be responsible to lead 1D CAE model and method creation related to electrical systems like wire harness and electrical control units in order to verify voltage drop and electrical load-balance as well as electrical device performance and power consumption. Proficient use of CAE contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead a small team to develop and validate new CAE methods for both specification setting and product verification.
  • Lead collaboration and negotiation with test and part design engineers to understand the physical part and test procedures in order to accurately set the CAE model boundaries, constraints, and assumptions. Effectively present analysis and information to technical experts.

Job Purpose: 

The Integrated Power Unit (IPU)  Department Cost Lead is responsible for all aspects of department cost to ensure that accurate budgets are developed, and that actual spend meets budgeted amounts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop department budgets for all expense categories at each budget event (1x/quarter + 1x annual multi-year budget), including overtime, and other expense categories. Include perspectives from all categories including production, quality, engineering, maintenance, safety, environmental, etc. to ensure complete and accurate budget.
  • Monitor department actual spending compared to budget. Develop timely, accurate reporting to provide department leadership a thorough understanding of gaps between budget and actual spend.

  • Lead the monthly inventory process. Ensure that the value of physical counted material matches the Accounting documented value of materials.
  • Develop and lead strategies to improve the department’s cost efficiency.
  • Support new model and other groups within and outside the department to understand impact of potential changes to the budget, including production volume, model mix, new materials, production characteristic changes, etc.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • B.S. Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2+ years based on education
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing department
  • Understanding of logistics as it affects in-house use of materials

Job Purpose: 

The role of this position will be to lead the management of Equipment Production data inside the Production Engineering Business Unit (PEBU). The data will consist of 2D CAD data, 3D CAD data and supporting documentation like Bill of Material’s (BOM) and technical drawings. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of automobile production categories and processes: Weld, Paint and Assembly
  • 8+ years of experience designing tooling and machines for automated equipment
  • Experience with CAD/PLM development or administration experience

What you will be doing:

  • Communicates the Trulite Strategic Vision to the production team
  • Manages and monitors branch safety conditions to ensure compliance to OSHA standards and to reduce hazards in the workplace.
  • Sets production goals, monitors, and manages all aspects of production.
  • Manages inventory levels and ensures that effective cost control processes are in place and followed.
  • Communicates regularly with senior management and support functions.
  • Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 30 employees in the Production and Transportation departments.
  • Oversees training of new or existing employees to include work methods and procedures
  • Acts as a positive resource and mentor to all employees, ensuring they are knowledgeable about company’s business success and growth within the organization
  • Lead the way with execution of key company initiatives impacting production
  • Oversees the inspection of products to verify conformance to Company specifications
  • Provides timely and accurate feedback on performance reviews and disciplinary problems, material shortages, equipment problems etc. when required or appropriate
  • Ensures on-time delivery and manages the flow of products
  • Accurate and timely production reporting
  • Continued assessment of cost reduction opportunities through the utilization of resources to remove process costs and improve efficiencies
  • Maintains and improves quality levels by ensuring that all work processes are performed correctly and accurately.
  • Controls and minimizes labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses
  • Communicates regularly with senior management and support functions (i.e. HR, Customer Service, Sales, etc.)

Food Manufacturing Production Associate 3rd Shift

The Production Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient production of our finished goods. Priorities of the role include personal and team safety, food safety, and product quality. Shift times and activities vary depending on department needs. In the Bakery, daily activities can range from putting dough in a box to quality paperwork to running machinery and doing sanitation. Environments is fast paced and teamwork oriented.

Requirements:

  • Previous sanitation experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team atmosphere is preferred.
  • Able to stand and walk on concrete for up to 12 hours.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
  • Able to work in temperatures ranging from 30? 100? Fahrenheit or above for an extended period.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours with constant hand and wrist movement.

Quality & Food Safety Requirements:

  • Comply with all USDA, FDA, ODA regulations
  • Understand and perform all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  • Report all Food Safety concerns immediately to your Team Leader
  • Be aware of all safety guidelines (including but not limited to: LO/TO, HazCom Chemical Handling, Confined Spaces, PPE), and maintain a safe working environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Load raw materials onto equipment.
  • Inspect product for quality defects along the production line.
  • Place finished goods into cases or cartons.
  • Place finished cases onto pallets.
  • Perform rework when needed using a scale for accuracy.
  • Perform system quality checks to ensure product is within specification.
  • Adjust and fill machines and equipment as needed.
  • Perform sanitation of the equipment and production areas if assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
