WEEKEND (WOW) MT/MLT - every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 05:30am - 6:00 pm.Performs all laboratory functions as outlined with supervision until all necessary functions are learned and competency is achieved. Performs various laboratory tests and procedures following policies and procedures established by the laboratory department and Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Performs collects COC Urine Drug Screens; provides assistance to other MT's, MLT's, phlebotomists and Laboratory Director. Maintains supply inventory for laboratory operations.Education and Formal Training: Must have successfully completed a clinical rotation in an approved school of Medical Technology and be registered or certified by NCA, ASCP, HEW or AMT as a Medical Technologist within the first year of employment, and meet the requirements for Medical Technologist as outlined in the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988, being qualified to perform High Complexity Testing as defined by CLIA 1988. Completion of general and job specific competencies. Work Experience: Only that defined by CLIA 1988 to perform High Complexity Testing.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: High degree of integrity and studious habits. • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field with five to seven (5-7) years of experience in technical purchasing, preferably in the medical or healthcare; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
