This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday days. Coverage of two locations in Markle and Warren will be necessary.
Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with flow through the clinic and escorts patients to exam rooms.
- Takes vital signs and prepares patients for provider assessment
- Prepares exam rooms and instruments for examination and testing and maintains appropriate inventory of supplies in all exam areas.
- Screens telephone calls for referral to interpret lab results, give advice etc.
- Ensures that lab reports, x-rays and other information are in patient records.
- Assist providers with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed.
- Remains in exam room with provider during patient exams as requested or assigned.
- Follows infection control guidelines and ensures adherence to OSHA and CLIA protocols due to potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Performs daily controls on equipment and maintains records/logs in accordance with regulations and protocol.
- Prepares medications
- Maintains CPR certification and licensure requirements.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Completes weekly task assignment
- Accurately triage walk in patients and call-ins.
- Stock supplies in medical rooms prior to all shifts.
- Check expiration dates on all pharmacy and other stored products.
- Adheres to scheduling assignments
- Attends required meetings, and in-services, and participates in committees as requested.
- Performs other duties and activities, as per credentialed and proven skill level or incidental to the work and responsibilities of this position.
- Use additional forms of telehealth to assist provider.
- Provide health screening (PHQ9, Edinburgh Scale, and GAD 7) as needed to direct patients to needed medical care

Job Overview:
- Functions as a support person for the patient; assists the patient to the examination room, gives information to the patient, and collects information for the provider
- Obtains vital signs and other pertinent physical data
