Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 22 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Medical declinations accepted.
Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.
Additional Details:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a MedSurgical setting
• Flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed
• Availability for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays
Qualifications: Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring
Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
Trauma Level II Experience: Preferred
Float Required: will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed
Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule
Orientation Hours: 24
Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: All types
Special Procedures/Unit Details: MS-type patient populations
RTO required with submission, must be built into contract
Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : Please request an interview for one match from this facility at a time. You will not interview with the hiring manager if the facility chooses to extend an offer to you for this position. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
