Our client is seeking a highly qualified Senior Power Systems Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical power systems for various applications, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety. Key responsibilities include developing electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control system architectures. You will perform power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and transient stability studies, using industry-standard software such as ETAP, PSS/E, or similar tools. The role involves selecting appropriate electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, generators, and protection relays, and ensuring their integration into the overall system design. Collaboration with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines will be crucial.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in power systems engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred. Proven expertise in power system analysis software, load forecasting, and protection coordination is required. Familiarity with grid codes, industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC), and renewable energy integration is a significant asset.
