A day in the life
Your day begins reviewing network monitoring alerts across manufacturing facilities and mission operations centers. You'll analyze traffic patterns and capacity needs for the factory floor while planning network expansion for new lab spaces. You will participate in the deployment of network solutions for upcoming launch sites, contract manufacturing partners, and testing facilities. You will coordinate with vendors on WAN circuit installations, troubleshoot routing issues affecting production systems, and mentor team members on complex network deployments. You'll participate in change management meetings, schedule maintenance windows, and document network modifications. Throughout the day, you'll handle escalations from manufacturing teams, validate network security controls, and ensure high availability across all sites. The role requires balancing immediate operational needs with strategic planning and improvement of processes and procedures in order to maintain network reliability for mission-critical operations.
This is an on-site role that requires employees to work from the company's office 5 days per week. Remote work is not an option for this position. The role will include up to 25% of business travel.
Basic Qualifications

**Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 2)**
+ Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience.
+ Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, **prior** to the commencement of employment.
+ Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, and reach.
+ Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status
+ Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent).
**Principal Cyber Systems Network Engineer (Level 3)**
+ Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
+ Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, **prior** to the commencement of employment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Professional experience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks
+ Professional experience with managing routing protocols on large LAN environments,
+ Experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)
+ Network+ certification and/or a Cisco CCNA (or a CCNA) or other Network Certification (Palo Alto, etc.)
+ Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering
+ Active Top Secret, SCI, Polygraph
+ Experience in the use of network analysis tools (i.e. WireShark, SolarWinds, Opnet, etc.)
+ Experience with configuring High Assurance IP Encryptors (HAIPE) such as taclanes, KD-xx, etc.
Primary Level Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $27,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: 104,800.00 - 157,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. **The Opportunity** : Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a COMSEC (communications security) Network Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community customer's wide-area (WAN), campus-area (CAN), and local-area (LAN) networks across multiple security domains. Focus will be on COMSEC account management, and cryptologic duties to include operation and maintenance of encryption devices.
As a COMSEC Network Designer, you will be responsible for executing the communications security program, ensuring the protection of sensitive information transmitted network connected and point to point communications systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and safeguarding communications systems, including key management and cryptographic security measures, and be proficient in resolving complex COMSEC issues. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the security of classified communications for the organization and ensuring compliance with national and international security standards.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage and maintain COMSEC equipment, including the distribution, safeguarding, and accounting of keying material and cryptographic devices.
+ Ensure the proper operation of cryptographic devices and communication systems in line with established policies and procedures.
+ Focus will be on COMSEC Account Management, Custodian Duties and Encryption device configuration and maintenance.
+ Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to ensure integration of COMSEC measures into broader IT and security strategies.
+ Maintain current inventory of all Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) material.
+ Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring and installation of COMSEC equipment across multiple WAN/LAN environments.
+ Assist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all communications security configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve COMSEC-related incidents and issues in a timely manner.
+ Monitor health and performance of the communications security services including hardware and management software.
+ Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and new technologies within the COMSEC domain.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
+ 5+ years of related work experience
+ DOD 8570 IAT2 level certification (Security +)
+ Security Clearance: active TS/SCI, eligibility to take and pass a polygraph.
+ Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
+ In-depth knowledge of COMSEC principles, standards, and practices.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

**Desired:**
