• Provide escalation support to direct reports and service desk to trouble shoot tickets.

• Provide service as subject matter expert for various networking technologies.

• Lead off-hours remediation efforts including weekends for critical incidents. By their nature, critical incidents are rare. A critical incident is also known as a service outage.

Who you are.

• Bachelors' degree in IT, Cyber Security or Business or some college to include related coursework, minimum 5 Years of IT leadership experience, minimum 5 Years of network administration experience and minimum 1 Year of experience in project management along with Cisco Certification, Palo Alto Certification or other related certifications.
• Knowledge of modern routing protocols and networking topology.
• Operational knowledge of the configuration of advanced networking hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, fiber connections, WAN, LAN, and VPNs.

Responsibilities for Network Manager:

Negotiates, administers, and executes hospital and physician contracts in accordance with company standards in order to maintain and enhance networks to ensure we meet and exceed quality and financial goals.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Manager to oversee our client Transport and corporate office LAN network. This role will lead a team of network engineers responsible for supporting and maintaining the Candescent client-facing transport and corporate network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network technologies, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of delivering high-availability network services at scale. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, deployment, monitoring, and optimization of client transport services, corporate office LAN services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and top-tier performance. Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers specializing in client transport systems.

General Description:

The purpose of this job is to manage, coordinate, plan, and supervise the Customer Support Technician, Network Specialist Support Technician and the Service Helpdesk Support Technician operations and responsible for deploying and maintaining the data and communications network for the County. Recommend best practices for security, procedures and policies, patch management using PDQ Deploy and Smart Deploy software for imaging computers and laptops, to ensure the County is operating in compliance. Work with management team members to recommend software solutions, make sure we are secure and operating efficiently with the software.

Under limited supervision, this position reports major activities through periodic meetings. This position reports directly to the IT Security Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network Manager. This position will be located in Sumter, SC and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Provide network operations. The contractor shall:

• Use AFCENT provided standard network devices for routing and switching;

• Operate, maintain and sustain IP based routers, switches and standard AFCENT approved operating systems on AFCENT network devices;

• Configure Tier 2 routing and switching devices IAW SPIN-C.;

The Network Manager will support all business units within Mosaic Health and is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, security, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. This role leads a team of network engineers and administrators, collaborating with IT leadership to develop and execute network strategies that align with business and healthcare IT needs.

The Network Manager ensures compliance with industry standards and security best practices while
proactively identifying and mitigating network risks. This role plays a key part in network optimization,
troubleshooting, and future-proofing the organization's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Manage and mentor network engineers and administrators, providing guidance on best practices and technical development.
• Ensure high network availability, performance, and security across all locations.
• Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to mitigate network vulnerabilities and respond to security threats.
• Optimize network traffic flow, bandwidth utilization, and QoS policies to enhance application performance.
• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.
• Work closely with vendors and service providers to evaluate new network technologies and solutions.
• Manage network-related projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
• Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical leadership for system upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
• Develop and manage network budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Stay up to date on emerging network technologies, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in network administration or engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet networking equipment.
• Expertise in TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructures.
• Experience implementing SD-WAN, network automation, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of network security frameworks (NIST, CIS, HIPAA security guidelines).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
