You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
+ Degree(s): Bachelor's degree in Accounting

+ Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Our client, a highly impactful non-profit organization dedicated to community empowerment, is seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Development to lead their fundraising efforts. This is a fully remote, leadership position requiring an experienced development professional to drive significant growth in philanthropic support. You will play a crucial role in securing the resources needed to fulfill our mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including individual giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and major donor cultivation.
  • Manage all aspects of the donor lifecycle, from identification and cultivation to solicitation and stewardship.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Lead grant writing efforts, identifying opportunities and preparing compelling proposals.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, both virtual and in-person when appropriate.
  • Manage the donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Develop and manage the annual fundraising budget.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to engage them in fundraising activities.
  • Supervise and mentor development staff.
  • Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and non-profit fundraising.
  • Develop compelling communication materials to articulate the organization's impact and funding needs.
  • Analyze fundraising data to track progress against goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Represent the organization at community events and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree or CFRE certification preferred. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in non-profit development and fundraising, with a proven track record of successfully raising significant funds, is required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and leadership are essential. Experience with donor databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce) and grant writing is mandatory. Passion for the organization's mission and the ability to inspire others to support it are crucial. This fully remote role requires a highly motivated and organized individual with a commitment to driving impactful change through development.
