The Department of Cardiology at Northwell Health, the largest provider of cardiovascular care in New York, is seeking a visionary and highly skilled cardiologist to join our team as the Chair of Cardiology at Mather Hospital. This leadership role demands a candidate who excels in clinical practice, medical education, and organizational management to further elevate this Department of Cardiology.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic board-certified cardiologist, with director, chief, vice chair, or chair experience. In this role, the Chair will lead the clinical services provided within the Department of Cardiology, including inpatient and consultative cardiology services, ambulatory cardiology, cardiac imaging (including CCTA/CMRI), cardiac rehabilitation, advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs direct patient care activities, providing both hospital and ambulatory clinical services.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise within the clinical cardiology team, overseeing hospital-based and ambulatory cardiology services.
  • Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and identify and develop new clinical programs consistent with market opportunity, patient needs, and financial feasibility.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO, with board certification in cardiovascular disease.
  • Eligibility for New York medical licensure.

Job Qualification
