- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as rapid deterioration, falls, or code situations
- Support patient advocacy and uphold patient rights and confidentiality
- Current Registered Nurse License in the state of practice
- Minimum one year of professional nursing experience; Med-Surg experience preferred
- Completion of Amergis’ Competency Program (if applicable)
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- TB screening and health clearance (as required by contract or regulation)
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Successful completion of new hire orientation and Med-Surg training
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
- Basic computer literacy
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Description
Under clinical supervision of a physician, the Nurse Practitioner provides primary and preventive healthcare services to patients in a rural health clinic, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, promoting wellness, and improving access to quality care.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing with appropriate license to practice.
Core Job Duties
- Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.
- Prescribe and administer psychotherapeutic treatments/medications to treat behavioral health disorders and/or substance use disorders at assigned program/sites.
- Advise and inform guardians, relatives, and significant others of the patient's conditions and treatment.
- Examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients, as necessary
- Attend Quarterly Prescriber Meetings and any other assigned meetings.
- Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or behavioral health disorders.
- Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
- Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency's certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
- Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
- Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
