Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.Our PCTs care for multiple patients.Technician Duties. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. Skilled and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCA)s have a way of developing a relationship and building trust with people who need their services. Typical job duties and tasks of a PCA include:

• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding guest as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning, providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.

• Maintains guest stability by checking vital signs; recording intake and output information.

• Provides guest comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting; answering call lights and requests; reporting observations of the guest to nursing supervisor.

• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

• Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.

• Protects organization's value by keeping guest information confidential.

The role you'll contribute:

Assist patients with the activities of daily living, performs patient care tasks and maintains a safe and clean environment. Completes tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing.

•Plans, coordinates and implements PCT care in a timely manner based on individualized needs of patient.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

•HS Diploma or equivalent
•Entry Level - Maintains current Florida certification, Maintains PCT educational requirements as outlined in the organizational checklists.
•Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), certification or proof of competency is required upon hire.
•A new hire may begin employment provided the facility has the ability to facilitate the successful completion of the required AHA BLS program prior to any patient contact. This may be achieved using web-based training with voice-assisted manikin skills check off ( ie : Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Program or Heartcode ) or instructor-led training.
