We are looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Las Vegas, NV to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients' homes in accordance with a physician established care plan.
This role is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care being provided at the patient's residence. The current scheduling needs for this role are:
Weekdays or Weekends, 12 hour shifts on Days. Typically 7am - 7pm.
Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Responsibilities
- Work with the patient in their home to provide one-on-one service in a comfortable and familiar setting
- Assist with the patients' activities of daily living as well as personal care
- Provide companionship care and basic emotional or psychological support
- Adhere to the patient's established plan of care
- Execute the physician prescribed plan of care and maintain compliant documentation of care provided in the system of record
- Monitor vitals (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc) according to plan of care
- Remind patient of and administer medication as prescribed
- Maintain records and documentation of daily services
- Communication with the patients' family, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health and care of the patient
- Current CPR certification
- Current First Aid certification
- TB test & physical examination
- Ability to monitor vital signs
- Good interpersonal skills
- Caring and compassionate personality
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
- Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions
- 1+ years of experience working in a clinical or home health setting.
- 1+ years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a clinical or home health setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 1+year of caregiving experience
