Responsibilities- Perform ADL’s as scheduled and assist other Resident Assistants as needed while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.
- Monitor changes in Resident’s condition
- Transferring and assisting residents with mobility using various methods (gait belt, mechanical lifts, etc.)
- Ensure residents are cared for with dignity.
- Caregiving experience preferred but applicants without experience will still be considered.
- To work in Long Term Care , Nursing Assistant Certification is required. Assisted Living does not require any certifications.
- Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies.
- Commitment to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Job Overview
Sunnycrest Manor is accepting applications for CNA who performs intermediate human support service and paraprofessional work to the residents of Sunnycrest Manor.
This is a full-time position working 2nd shift, 2 pm - 10:30 pm with a $3 shift differential.
Work is performed under the general supervision of a charge nurse or professional staff.
Examples of Duties

Performs personal care of patients and provides routine services including making beds, giving baths and rubs, lifting and moving residents, and caring for personal effects.

Teaches or reinforces adult learning skills including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and personal hygiene.
-
Assists patients with daily activities including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
-
Performs rehabilitative therapy and activities of daily living.
-
Takes and records vital signs.
-
Assists patients with movement to dining, exercise, and recreation areas.
-
Makes rounds on regular basis; checks patients, changes bed linens, washes patients, empties bed pans, cleans urinals, commodes and other facilities and equipment.
-
Notifies nurses of the need for attention, medication or treatment.
-
Applies devices such as simple dressings, supports, braces, appliances and restraints.
-
Measures and records food and fluid intake.
-
Teaches behavioral skills and protects patients from harm and self-abuse.
-
Monitors and records behaviors related to medical and physical restraints.
-
Follows required protocols for safety and infection control.
-
Performs related tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Possess Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Must pass the prescribed pre-employment physical, abuse registry review, and criminal background check.
Special Qualifications:

Requires pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.
Requires standing most of the time to perform work responsibilities with regular walking between locations.
Requires ability to walk steps, reaching, squatting, stooping, bending, and sitting, pushing, pulling, twisting, gripping and apply physical intervention holds.
Some exposure to slippery surfaces when floors are wet.
Exposure to chemicals from cleaning compounds and exposure to bodily fluids require the use of personal protective equipment to safe guard against potential biological and chemical hazards.
Work is primarily indoors.

Job Summary:
Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for providing industry leading personal care and assistance in the facility. - Observes and reports resident conditions to nursing staff or appropriate supervisor and all information pertaining to procedures carried out, changes, incidents or unusual findings
- Becomes familiar with residents' daily needs, likes, dislikes, etc. in order to personalize care given each individual per the residents' care plan
- Records all appropriate resident care information accurately and in a timely manner. Observes and reports to Charge Nurse unusual occurrences and changes in resident condition
- Responds to resident call lights in a timely manner. Listens and responds to resident needs in an appropriate and service minded manner
- Assists residents in transferring from bed, chair, wheelchair, toilet etc., using appropriate equipment and following principles of body mechanics and safety (help determine number of persons for assist; use gait belt, lifts, grab bars, etc.)
- Helps restore independence through teaching and encouragement in ADL skills (eating, dressing, ambulation, toileting, etc.)

Three (3) months of verifiable experience working as a CNA.

CURRENT SCHEDULING NEEDS:
Part-time and Full-time
- AM Shift - 6am-2pm
- PM Shift - 2pm -10pm
- NOC Shift - 10:00pm - 6:00am
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs person centered personal cares for the resident under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS:
