This position is vital to supporting clients' mental and physical health as they navigate treatment for various behavioral health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, ensuring safe and accurate delivery as per treatment plans.
• Perform routine vital signs checks and monitor clients' physical health.
• Conduct weekly nursing assessments and communicate findings to the treatment team.
• Collaborate with providers during client visits to ensure thorough and coordinated care.
• Support adults receiving outpatient care for behavioral health issues, including substance abuse, trauma, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and other conditions.
• Provide education to clients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and health management.
• Assist in managing crises and de-escalating situations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in Georgia.
• Experience in or a passion for working with adults in a mental health setting.
• Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their administration.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

About the role: This role providesnursing care to client employees and/or contractors and visitors tothe health center.

Essential Functions:
- Uses nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritizetreatment, and maintain patient flow.
- Conducts a nursing assessment by taking a patient history andphysical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medicaltests.

- Collaborates with Physician or other Licensed IndependentPractitioner to arrange for further medical treatment, whenneeded.
- Identifies equipment that needs repair and brings it to theattention of the lead clinician.
- Performs occupational and health screening tests as defined insite contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
- Conducts appropriate laboratory tests and quality controlprocedures.
- Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment,treatments, medications administered, discharge instructionsprovided, and follow up care arranged.
- Evaluates health education/promotion needs of patients andprovides necessary training and instruction.
- Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legalscope of practice.
- Administers medications and medical treatments competently asdirected by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
- Maintains medical records using (In some health centers it maybe using Electronic Medical Record software).
- Maintains a clean and safe environment. Follows infectioncontrol procedures.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidential patientinformation.
- Participates in follow up phone calls and follow up patientvisits.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associates'degree (A.S.) is required.
- Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-yearcollege or university is preferred.
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practicerequired.
- Current hands on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support forhealth care providers is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Supportmay also be required based on contract scope of services.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Certification inEmergency Nursing, or Certificate in Case Managementpreferred.

Preferred Experience:
- At least three years experience as a Registered Nurse in anemergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory careclinic.
- Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and WordProcessing software.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Recordspreferred.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHAregulations preferred.
