As an Operations Specialist, you make sure that products flow smoothly through the store by maintaining product availability for customers, completing inventory tasks, supporting the implementation and maintenance of Apple preservation standards, and delivering product to customers and team members. Based in the Company’s corporate office in Gaithersburg, MD, the Paralegal will provide legal support to the company and its in-house staff members with respect to company, property site, client, and other related legal matters. This role will be the first point of contact to determine how legal matters need to be directed for appropriate handling, will draft legal documents, participate in legal research, manage case files, coordinate correspondence, and will work closely with the company’s leadership team and outside legal counsel on applicable matters (etc.). This role will facilitate the completion of projects for legal matters and corporate transactions, develop procedures for legal matters. The effective candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, draw from broad administrative and prior paralegal experience and legal exposure gained in a real estate and/or property management company. Exposure and experience with property management, third-party management, multiple corporate entities, multi-family real estate, and/or affordable housing operations are sought.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Serve as the in-house go-to to triage legal matters for appropriate management and handling through the life cycle of such matters.
- Draft and/or review and partner with subject owners to negotiate a variety of contracts to facilitate property management operations including management agreements, operating agreements, services contracts, vendor contracts, and other transactional instruments in the course of business.
- Assist with due diligence and documentation in onboarding and offboarding multifamily properties into and out of property management operations.
- Draft forms, letters, correspondence, and other legal documents and communications.
- Create, manage, and track (checklists or other) status and progress of all legal matters and associated documents.
- Develop and maintain legal and compliance tools and resources for on-site operations teams.
- Provide support with subcontractor and vendor procurement, including review of vendor contracts.
- Provide support and coordination regarding corporate legal matters.
- With leadership’s direction, engage and support and coordinate with outside counsel in legal matters and claims.
- Monitor legislative and administrative developments impacting the industry and property management operations.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:

Responsibilities:
- Draft and review a variety of real estate documents including purchase agreements, deeds, easements, and other documents related to land acquisitions and dispositions.
- Conduct comprehensive title and survey reviews on properties, identifying any potential issues and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in real estate transactions, coordinating with various parties including attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal support related to land use, zoning, and other real estate matters.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, providing advice and guidance as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, particularly in relation to land acquisitions, title and survey work, and legal document drafting.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Paralegal certification is preferred.

Can be located anywhere in the DMV area, but must be able to travel to locations in the DMV area occasionally. This position will act as a point of contact for real estate agents, providing transaction coordination and overall transaction processing. The successful candidate will assist agents with promoting property listings and administrative duties required during each stage of a transaction, from contract to close. The Transaction Coordinator will report to the Administrative Services Director and collaborate across departments and offices to perform full-service, best-in-class support to ensure agent success. Residential real estate experience in an administrative or sales role is required.

+ Transactional processing for listings and sales contracts across the region using Zipform and Back Office.
+ Create transaction coordination projects in ASANA to ensure tasks are completed timeously.
+ Add and update listing information in the MLS.
+ Create reports in MLS and Back Office.
+ Assist agents in promoting listings utilizing company tools and programs to include, but not limited to BHHS Resource Center, Listing Automation, Canva, etc.
+ Collaborate with agents, clients, title, mortgage and inspection companies on contract to close transactions to ensure an effortless closing process.
+ Present the Transaction Coordination program to sales agents or at office sales meetings when required.
+ Provide departmental and office administrative support as needed to include, but not limited to updating agent records, adding information to company programs, etc.
+ Attend departmental meetings as needed
+ Remain apprised of upgrades & updates to programs and communicate changes to key stakeholders.
+ Support planning and execution of company events as needed.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
+ Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
+ Minimum of two (2) years' equivalent experience required.
+ Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office and solid administrative background experience.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid organizational skills including attention to detail, awareness of timelines and multi-tasking ability.
+ Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment internal and external resources to achieve goals.
+ Strong sense of accountability for the agent experience and desire to provide best in class support.
