The Lattice Autonomy team builds a robotics platform that enables users to rapidly build, test, & iterate on multi-agent autonomy. Our customers use teams of heterogeneous vehicles that can sense the world, move around, and coordinate to achieve their objectives given high-level plans from an operator. We are building a mission autonomy platform that is deployed on a variety of robotics platforms from high-end autonomous jets and large underwater autonomous vehicles through to smaller rotary wing aircraft, and everything in between. Every mission demands a different set of payloads, and our mission autonomy software must be flexible enough to allow users to build behaviors that make the best use of the specific sensors & payloads available.

Core to our autonomy software is distributed systems, such as teams and swarms of assets coordinating to achieve higher level goals, and network meshes that require dynamic channel configuration to ensure assets can communicate. We're looking to grow our architecture further along these axes, and you'll have the chance to not only drive these APIs both for internal and 3rd party usage, but also build the model implementations that will see widespread usage throughout the company as well.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and implement architectural components such as distributed planning and network configuration, that enable distributed scaled autonomy
• Solicit and incorporate feedback from end users of the APIs and implementations, and collaborate with adjacent engineering teams to help make the product vision a reality
• Develop and improve our APIs for commanding and controlling teams of autonomous vehicles.
• Create and maintain APIs, SDKs, and documentation for production software
• Test and validate features through unit testing, simulation testing, and software-in-the-loop testing.
• Drive the future of the Anduril and 3rd party robot ecosystem by working on the software at the center of all interactions between the operator and the vehicles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on distributed systems and multi-agent autonomy
• Experience with API design and Protobuf
• Experience with both C++ and Python
• Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

US Salary Range

$138,000-$252,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. We are looking for an Autonomous Vehicles Software Engineer with strong robotics and software expertise to design and develop the software architecture of an initial AV stack. This engineer will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of this new project in the defense space.

At Applied, you will:

• Map autonomous customer use cases and ODD into specific system capabilities and functional requirements
• Enable design decisions on software architecture based on industry best practices in autonomous technology development
• Work with domain experts to support implementation of key components of the required system from perception through controls
• Work with customer teams to ensure that the platform under development can be deployed on target hardware
• Guide autonomous platform verification and validation strategies to ensure system quality

We're looking for someone who has:

• MS or PhD in robotics or a closely related field
• 2+ years of experience in autonomous vehicle system design including familiarity with different technologies and tradeoffs involved in selecting options
• 2+ years of experience developing and shipping AV software
• 1+ years of experience using simulation tools to support AV development

Nice to have:

• Expertise in methods and tools for engineering design, verification and validation, or a similar related areas
• Deep expertise with specific modules of systems (eg. perception) to effectively contribute towards building that capability
• Experience integrating common vendors of AV technology

Responsibilities

Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing subsidiary, is seeking Software Engineers to contribute to the development of next-generation autonomous aircrafts. Our contributions to the aerospace industry include the world-record breaking Orion aircraft, the first fully autonomous helicopter (AACUS), a flying taxi, underwater vehicles and a solar plane to name a few. In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative environment in which you will work independently on a multi-disciplinary team to design and develop flight and/or mission-critical onboard software for autonomous systems. As such, candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills and the desire to take on new tasks and develop new skills. As an engineering leader, you will lead either the technical direction and delivery of a subsystem and/or the task and mentoring of junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements

B.S. in one of the following Engineering Degrees:

• Aerospace Engineering.

• Computer Science.

• Or equivalent discipline

• Must be a US Citizen or Legal US Permanent Resident.

Relevant Discipline Interest and Working Knowledge Normally Include a Mix of:

• UAS or Autonomous Vehicles.

Integer Technologies is seeking a Senior Autonomous Software Engineer to play a key role in advancing next- autonomy solutions for marine platforms. In this role, you will lead the integration of our autonomy software with a range of government and industry systems, ensuring interoperability, robustness, and performance across diverse operational environments. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong systems thinking, and the ability to navigate complex interface requirements with both legacy and emerging platforms.

Beyond integration, you will play a critical strategic role in shaping the future of autonomous maritime operations. By assessing current system capabilities and identifying emerging technology gaps, you will recommend and drive development of new features, frameworks, and supporting infrastructure to extend autonomy, adaptability, and decision-making at the edge. Your work will directly support the deployment of intelligent marine systems operating across surface and subsurface domains.

Primary Responsibilities.

• System Integration & Interface Development Design, develop, and maintain software interfaces that enable seamless integration with government, defense, and commercial systems across a variety of data and control architectures.

• Autonomy Platform Engineering Contribute to the development and deployment of autonomy software on heterogeneous maritime platforms-surface and subsurface-accounting for diverse sensor suites, computing environments, and communication constraints.

Required Qualifications.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees

• 5+ years of professional experience developing, deploying, or integrating autonomy software systems, preferably in maritime or defense contexts

• Strong proficiency in modern programming (e.g., C++, Python) and experience with middleware such as ROS, DDS, or other real-time communication frameworks

• Proven experience integrating with government, DoD, or defense industry systems and protocols; familiarity with military messaging formats and interoperability standards is a plus

• Deep understanding of autonomy frameworks, decision-making algorithms, and real-time system constraints in distributed, multi-agent environments

• Demonstrated ability to identify technical gaps and propose innovative software solutions aligned with mission requirements

• Comfortable working in both field test environments and simulation environments; experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing is advantageous

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to interface across multidisciplinary teams and external partners

• U.S. Citizenship required; active DoD security clearance strongly

Additional Desired Qualifications.

• Experience developing autonomy software for maritime, aerospace, or ground robotics systems operating in GPS-denied or communications-constrained environments

• Knowledge of distributed systems, multi-agent coordination, or swarm autonomy concepts

• Background in AI/ML applications for edge deployment, including model optimization techniques (e.g., pruning, quantization, or neuromorphic computing)

• Hands-on experience with containerized deployment (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) on embedded or ruggedized platforms

• Understanding of naval mission planning concepts and experience interfacing with tactical decision aids or combat system software

• Prior participation in field demonstrations, military exercises, or test events involving autonomous systems
