**Overview:**
_We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Autonomous Driver to join our elite team in Atwater, CA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service._

Transdev's Autonomous Specialist's are critical to the success of delivering safe autonomous driving systems to our customers, enabling a revolutionary mobility experience._
_The Autonomous Specialist is responsible for operating and evaluating a self-driving vehicle in autonomous mode, including collecting data and providing feedback, and offering ride hail service to the general public._
Competitive compensation package of minimum $26.00 - Maximum $31.00

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ _Maintain Transdev's high standard of safety, inside and outside of the vehicle;_
+ _Consistently demonstrate situational awareness, an understanding of the technology in his/her care, and a willingness to constantly adjust to changes in the environment;_
+ _Be the deputy for technology by communicating courteously always with management, engineers, and the public;_
+ _Operate/Drive in single and/or dual driving, (assignment may be alone or with a co-driver) five days a week; able to sit still for long periods of time;_
+ _Capable of responding quickly to changing and potentially high-pressure environments;_
+ _Work mostly individually but also in small groups of 2-10 people;_
+ _Operate a vehicle 6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week;_

+ _Operate autonomous vehicles on both defined and undefined routes, including a variety of environmental conditions._
+ _Operate onboard data recording computers;_
+ _Comfortable riding as a passenger in an autonomous vehicle, where the driver may have little control over the vehicle's operations._

**Required Education and Experience:**
+ _Minimum of 3 years of experience driving on public roads. Additional experience is preferred;_
+ _High School Diploma or GED required. Four-year college degree (preferred) in a related field like industrial or applied sciences;_
**Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):**
+ _Ability to parallel park with minimal assistance._
+ _Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Driver, including Sheets and Docs);_
+ _Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required); and_
+ _Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts;_
+ _Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios;_
+ _Adapt quickly to new and developing technology;_
+ _Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation;_
+ _Must be able to multitask multiple technologies, including communications devices and vehicle status systems;_

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Operations & Safety
+ Maintain Transdev's high standard of safety inside and outside the vehicle.
+ Operate an AV for 6-8 hours per day, up to 5 days per week (subject to change based on business needs).
+ Drive in a variety of environmental conditions on both defined and undefined routes while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
+ Respond quickly to changing conditions and high-pressure environments as needed.
+ Ensure the security of vehicle keys and disks, including proper handling, importing, and accounting at the beginning and end of each shift.
+ Assist with the recovery of autonomous vehicles, including safe parking, disengagement, and relocation of the vehicle.
+ Apply safety protocols in any scenario requiring intervention or rescue of an AV.
+ Follow diagnostic guides to troubleshoot driver support modules, including mobile devices, laptops, and other work-related equipment.
+ Perform utility work, including charging, vehicle preparation, and servicing, when not operating a vehicle.
Customer Interaction & Public Engagement
+ Provide rides in autonomous vehicles to the general public while ensuring a safe and positive experience.
+ Represent Transdev and the client by showcasing self-driving technology to guests in a friendly and professional manner.

+ Serve as a point of contact (POC) for client Security and Facilities teams regarding issues and repairs at remote sites.

We are currently hiring for Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVO) for one of the top tech organizations in the world. This is a long-term contract with Manpower Engineering, ManpowerGroup, the world's largest workforce solutions organization.
As an AVO, your role will be to always drive Vehicle Safely, Maintain Vehicle Readiness, complete SOFTWARE and HARDWARE TESTING, and represent as a Brand Ambassador to the public.
You will assist and interact with multiple teams across the company, from computer vision, infrastructure, and sound design to strategy, vehicle engineering, and ride operations. We are looking for people who are safety focused, disciplined, team players, and believe in doing whatever it takes to accomplish the mission.
Responsibilities
- This position will consist of driving and data collection.
- Support vehicle operations.
- Drive 4-8 hours a day with a priority on safety.
- Conduct basic software operation tasks.
- Support missions through a wide variety of roles in and out of vehicles.
- Assist with documentation and metrics.
- Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams.
- Support vehicle maintenance and logistics.
- Conduct daily basic vehicle preventative maintenance checks, services, and repairs.
- Provide logistical support for the movement and storage of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure the readiness and cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and the workplace.
- Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness.
Qualifications (Required)
- Must be able to type a min of 45wpm.
- Must be Tech savvy and ability to learn quickly.
- Must be able to clear a background and drug screen.
- Must have a clear DMV - 1 points may be ok.
- Must have a min of 3 consecutive years of driving exp with valid driver's license.
Training
- Full training will be provided.
- Training hours will be the same as your shift.
- Training is typically 4-6 weeks.

- Day shift: 7.45am - 4.15pm:
- Swing Shift: 3.45pm - 12.15am:
- Shift schedule: Wed-Sun, Thu-Mon, Fri-Tue, or Sat-Wed

+ Thoroughly understand how our self-driving technology works. Stay on top of countless daily changes, both big and small.
+ Safely operate test vehicles to evaluate and help improve our technology. Consistently make exceptional judgment calls.
+ Carry out vehicle inspections at start/end of shift to ensure vehicle is in normal operational order.
+ Share detailed feedback on our technology & top priorities with vehicle supplier and managers.
+ Be the voice of Transdev to our client, self-driving enthusiasts & curious onlookers.
Requirements:
+ Safety first focus.
+ Age 21 years old or over
+ Self-starter / highly motivated individual.
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills - both verbal and written.Focus on attention to detail.
+ Exceptional critical thinking.
+ Ability to quickly learn required system requirements, corporate requirements and adapt to changes as future programs are developed.
+ Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record. 24 months no DUI, Hit and Run, road rage or vehicular manslaughter charges.
+ Cleaning of vehicle - housekeeping of vehicle on daily basis and monthly or as required deep-clean.
+ Flexibility for day, night, and/or weekend work, not always planned far in advance. Overtime may be required.
+ The work location is the vehicle. Expect to spend at least 80% of your time in our vehicles.

Requirements
  • Experience as an autonomous vehicle operator, driving instructor, motorsports racer, or other profession requiring a commitment to safety and excellent driving skills
  • A valid US driving license for the last 3+ years
  • Must have a clean driving record with no DUIs, drug, and/or alcohol-related offenses within the last 5 years
  • Able to anticipate hazardous situations and act quickly and safely, despite adverse conditions or the mistakes of others when operating a motor vehicle
  • Have a thorough knowledge of local traffic regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail
  • A willingness to work in various weather conditions and comfortable driving on different types of roads
