**About this role**
This role will be based on the San Francisco Equity Trading desk.
The Equity Trading team in San Francisco is part of the Global Trading group within BlackRock Global Markets (BGM) and is responsible for executing equity and equity derivative orders in the Americas. This includes substantial volumes of cash equities, CFDs, listed and OTC derivatives.
The team supports a range of internal investment teams and products, including index funds, iShares, systematic active, and transition management. Members of the team collaborate with BlackRock portfolio managers, strategists, researchers, and other stakeholders to formulate trade strategies, deliver platform solutions and execution.
**Your** **Responsibilities:**
+ Seek to provide Best Execution across a range of equity and equity derivatives products (futures, ETFs, TRS, convertible bonds) for BlackRock's internal businesses
+ Manage orders and trading workflow in a risk-controlled manner as afiduciary
+ Monitor market activity in areas of specialization and provide feedback to portfolio managers and internal partner groups
+ Support investment teams withmarket color, information flow, and data analysis requests
+ Oversee day-to-day tasks in support of trading activities and as a liaison with trading operations
+ Proactively contribute to improving investment processes to reduce transaction costs and to identify outperformance opportunities
+ Partner with internal eTrading and Trading Research groups to innovate systems, trading analytics, and coordinate implementation

**Qualifications:**
+ BA/BS or higher degree(s)
+ 5-7 years of relevant equity or equity derivatives trading experience
+ Comprehensive understanding of liquidity and microstructure of equity markets
+ Extensive experience using electronic/algorithmic execution tools
+ Strong understanding of concepts in portfolio-/risk management
+ Demonstrated proficiency with technology across trading systems/platforms (FlexTrader, TradeWeb, and BBG experience preferred)
+ Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with multiple partners and stakeholders
+ Analytical and creative approach to solving complex problems
+ Well organized, disciplined approach to work with a high level of attention to detail

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$155,000.00 - USD$210,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
