The **Security Alarm Monitoring Specialists** support 24/7 operations at a high-security facility. The position involves active surveillance, access control monitoring, and communications management in support of Norfolk Naval Shipyard/Naval Sea Systems Alarm Monitoring Point (AMP) security mission. Candidates must demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, and emotional composure under pressure.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and monitor computerized Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), and Automated Access Control Systems (AACS).
+ Assess and interpret alarms; coordinate appropriate emergency or security response via Radio Dispatch Center (RDC).
+ Utilize access lists to verify clearance status and authorize entry into restricted areas.
+ Maintain and document logs of all alarm activities, hourly surveillance checks, and communications.
+ Respond professionally to non-emergency and emergency calls and direct them to the RDC as required.
+ Operate communications equipment, including radio consoles, portable radios, and secure telephones.
+ Use office equipment such as desktop/laptop computers, printers, fax machines, and scanners.
+ Create, maintain, and organize files and documentation according to SOPs.
+ Prepare supply requisitions for inventory maintenance of consumables and non-consumables.

The Alarm Monitoring Center (AMC) protects the firm's employees and assets throughout North America. Join the team responsible for monitoring, researching, reviewing, and analyzing alarms and video, to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures in a timely manner. As an Alarm Monitoring Specialist within the Global Security team, you will interact with employees at retail branches and corporate locations acting as the primary intake for security related incidents. These cases are disseminated to other security professionals for further guidance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Respond in a timely manner to alarm signals to ensure the protection of lives and property
• Appropriately dispatch law enforcement, guards or service vendors when needed
• Accurately manage inbound calls and conduct initial triage and troubleshooting efforts as needed, either rectifying the issue or routing it to the appropriate resource
• Ensure all incidents are effectively escalated and managed at each location, including escalating sensitive or high-impact incidents to senior managers, and notifying relevant Security and Threat teams regarding incidents
• Place alarm systems on test when required
• Create service jobs correctly when necessary
• Ensure any false or problem incidents are reported to the necessary department for corrective action and resolution
• Ensure all SOPs are followed correctly
• Ensure critical alarm testing is carried out as scheduled and take ownership for any faults identified so they can be managed through to completion
• Have a positive involvement in out of hours staffing problems by being flexible to work overnights, weekends, holidays, and during crises as needed, contactable via email, text and telephone
• Accurately compose incident communications to inform security, operations, resiliency, and facility responders; deliver information in verbal or written updates via internal communication platforms

Maximus is seeking a Network Monitoring Engineer to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.

As a Network Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our network systems.

**Description**
The Senior Monitoring Engineer in Springfield, VA is a senior-level technical expert who is accountable for the advanced troubleshooting, performance analysis, and optimization of enterprise monitoring platforms. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of observability solutions in hybrid environments, including on-premises, cloud, and virtual infrastructure. The engineer is responsible for the final escalation point for complex monitoring issues, collaborates with other teams to guarantee system reliability, and promotes best practices in observability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for issues related to any of the monitoring/observability platforms and tools.
+ Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and recurring performance issues.
+ Maintain, configure, and optimize monitoring tool deployments across cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure), on-premises, and VMware environments.
+ Design and implement custom dashboards, synthetic monitoring, and service-level objectives (SLOs).

**Qualifications**
**Required Education & Experience:**

+ 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, application performance monitoring, or site reliability engineering (SRE).
+ 2+ years of hands-on experience using platforms such as Dynatrace, Zabbix, and monitoring tools in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
+ Solid understanding of observability concepts including metrics, logs, traces, and user experience monitoring.
+ Experience supporting complex, distributed systems in cloud and hybrid environments.
+ Proficient with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible).

**A Brief Overview**
Monitors patient activity by continuous utilizing the monitoring system in the area of practice. The Monitoring Technician is accountable for assisting with basic care needs of patients, attention to the monitors and maintaining the medical record.
