JOB SUMMARYThe Patient Care Technician (PCT) will provide support to the ASC staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality care is provided at all times. Duties will include assisting pre and post op nursing teams in basic patient care and in prepping the facility to ensure safe and clean at all times. The PCT directly reports to the ASC Administrator. JOB DESCRIPTION Transport patients safely through facility Assist with turning over operating rooms between cases occasionally Assist in monitoring and recording in environmental and equipment log. Answer phones and data entry. Uses equipment in safe and effective manner; reporting repairs to appropriate person. Competent and responsible in prevention of contamination and transfer of infection. Assist RNs in pre-op and PACU. • Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
• Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, this position assists the RN/LVN in the provision of patient care including patient data collection, oral care, bathing, assistance with ambulating and toileting.
