Job Responsibilities
- Execute Medication Therapy Management for the company through competency in MTM platforms.
- Follow established best practices as they relate to work flow and use of MTM platforms when contacting patients, scheduling appointments and/or follow-up calls, and performing data entry.
- Use the pharmacy computer to complete all actions necessary to provide optimal patient care, including data entry.
- Properly schedule and perform follow-up adherence calls to ensure success and continued compliance with medication.
- Provide adequate notes and documentation within platform to ensure proper reimbursement, patient safety, and to provide a seamless management of patients amongst all staff.
- Demonstrate adherence to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations including HIPAA.
- Maintain a neat work environment to ensure all company, local, state, and federal requirements are met.
- Have knowledge of all appropriate service and business metrics and assist team on action plans to improve outcomes.
- Report errors, omissions, and incidents to pharmacist.
- Act in a fiscally responsible manner with regards to our work processes and be held accountable to meeting our financial goals.
- Add and update prescriptions on Auto-fill.
- Accurately read and data enter new prescriptions in the computer including billing to third parties, compounds, calculations and free form prescriptions.
- Resolve third party insurance billing issue to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Effectively communicate with internal Giant Eagle team members verbally and by phone/email.
- Complete all necessary daily and weekly reports and paperwork.
- Ensure exemplary customer service and satisfaction with knowledge and understanding to contact a Pharmacist when needed.

Job Description
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio
- Lifting Requirements: Up to 25 pounds
- Certification Required: Pharmacy Technician Trainee, if applicable by state
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age, or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio
Job Responsibilities
- Execute Medication Therapy Management for the company through competency in MTM platforms.
- Follow established best practices as they relate to work flow and use of MTM platforms when contacting patients, scheduling appointments and/or follow-up calls, and performing data entry.
- Use the pharmacy computer to complete all actions necessary to provide optimal patient care, including data entry.
- Properly schedule and perform follow-up adherence calls to ensure success and continued compliance with medication.
- Provide adequate notes and documentation within platform to ensure proper reimbursement, patient safety, and to provide a seamless management of patients amongst all staff.
- Demonstrate adherence to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations including HIPAA.
- Maintain a neat work environment to ensure all company, local, state, and federal requirements are met.
- Have knowledge of all appropriate service and business metrics and assist team on action plans to improve outcomes.
- Report errors, omissions, and incidents to pharmacist.
- Act in a fiscally responsible manner with regards to our work processes and be held accountable to meeting our financial goals.
- Add and update prescriptions on Auto-fill.
- Accurately read and data enter new prescriptions in the computer including billing to third parties, compounds, calculations and free form prescriptions.
- Resolve third party insurance billing issue to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Effectively communicate with internal Giant Eagle team members verbally and by phone/email.
- Complete all necessary daily and weekly reports and paperwork.
- Ensure exemplary customer service and satisfaction with knowledge and understanding to contact a Pharmacist when needed.

Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Tech Senior will assist the pharmacist in assuring timely and accurate provision of medications to patients. Routine technician functions are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. These functions may include unit dose dispensing, intravenous admixing, inventory control, record keeping and billing, and use of equipment and automated technology. Additional responsibilities include special projects as assigned by managers, assisting with purchasing, developing staffing patterns and assignments for other technicians, prioritizing work responsibilities, and precepting/training newly hired technicians. The Certified Pharmacy Technician Senior must have expertise in a particular area in order to serve as a resource for other pharmacy staff.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and Inspire - Mentor and train pharmacy technicians and interns in workflows and best practices for non-sterile compounding and med carousel operations. Be the go-to expert for any workflow or process questions from staff.
- Own the Process - Oversee daily operations in both the non-sterile compounding and med carousel areas. Ensure all cleaning is being completed appropriately, audit to ensure proper compounding procedures are being followed, assist with inventory maintenance, and be knowledgeable in carousel troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Drive Excellence - Support new process implementations and identify and escalate any workflow issues to your supervisor for review.
- Stay Current - Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of USP 795 standards and lead annual hands-on staff competencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduation or equivalent
- Licensure / Certification: Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification. Active registration as a Certified Tech with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience: 1 or more years of experience in hospital pharmacy with expertise in a particular area of pharmacy services (IV room, ADC/Pyxis, Packager, etc). Reports to: Coordinator/Manager/Director of Pharmacy; will receive work direction from Patient Care Pharmacist on duty consistent with the Drug Laws in Ohio
