The role you'll contribute:

Provides direct and indirect services in the acute care, inpatient, and/or outpatient rehabilitation settings, offering evaluation, development of care plans, and treatment for patients with bodily impairments and functional limitations as medically prescribed. Utilizes process improvement strategies to achieve the goals of the Rehabilitation Department and adheres to all rules and regulations of applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies. Responsibilities may include supervision of Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, technical aides, volunteers, and interns while actively participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships with all. The role encompasses evaluating and treating individuals whose ability to perform daily functional tasks is threatened or impaired by various factors, employing therapeutic goal-directed activities, physical modalities, exercises, and patient/family education/training to facilitate adaptation, productivity, and restore or maximize functional skills and independence. This includes direct involvement with a range of patient care activities, including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and documentation, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate functional progress and discharge planning.
