Overview
This position is responsible for reporting, analyzing, and providing internal customer support to the various cross-functional teams supporting material inventory and inventory processes across the many operating companies for PPL, with the focus to improve the financial, quality, and efficiency performance of material inventory. This includes sourcing, consolidating, and reporting data for pre-established and/or new deliverables, including an assessment of results that can translate to impactful tasks or areas of opportunity, crafting and communicating presentations/reports to influence various levels of an organization, identifying business opportunities, and driving continuous improvements at multiple stages within the supply chain. At an associate level, the individual contributor will be provided with training, guidance, and instruction on tools, processes, and analytical techniques to perform the work. The Inventory Management Associate is expected to quickly learn and adapt the tools and techniques beyond that provided by the leader, and quickly progress in knowledge and capability through self-learning aided by online media, formal training, and peer knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities
**_The Inventory Management Specialist position may be hired at the Associate, Intermediate, Senior or Lead level. The position responsibilities listed below reflect those of the Associate level. Additional/varying responsibilities maybe included for other levels of the Inventory Management Specialist role._**
+ Continuously optimize inventory levels, such as min/max, reorder point, and safety stocking levels to adjust for changing supply chain and other environmental (financial, systematic, business and physical) conditions.
+ Oversee the performance of material inventory management processes and related data for PPL's operating companies, such as cycle counts, receiving, returns, average unit price, and inventory reconciliation. Work with company leaders to implement changes that improve and optimize performance.
+ Utilize Six Sigma analytical techniques, as needed, to improve and optimize business processes related to inventory management for all PPL operating companies.
+ Create and maintain the various material inventory reports, performance scorecards, and ad hoc analysis as required. Identify, collect, consolidate, interpret, and report bulk data in a visual manner to establish a collective understanding of results across multiple locations and categories.
+ Supports ERP implementation through data conversion validation, testing, and other activities as requested.
+ Manage the slow moving/obsolete inventory process. Recommends optimal movements, and coordinating with business line associates to disposition and financially reserve.
+ Maintain emergent and storm stock for critical materials used in storm restoration and emergent outages.
+ Continually improve ongoing reporting, data analysis, and supply planning processes through automation and optimization with guidance from management.

**Qualifications:**
- 4 - 6 years related functional experience.
- 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience with supervising warehouse associates in distribution center management required
- High School degree or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint required
- Must have ability to connect and build rapport and relationships with associates and external customers at all levels

This role is critical in maintaining accurate inventory, organizing materials, and ensuring efficient flow of goods through the use of forklifts, clamp trucks, and reach trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Transport pallets from the finished goods conveyor to storage locations
- Operate a stand-up reach truck to relocate and organize warehouse materials
- Load and unload pallets and rolls using sit-down forklifts and clamp trucks
- Scan and track inventory movements with handheld RF scanners
- Fulfill full pallet orders and prepare them for shipment
- Wrap outbound orders and stage them for loading
- Monitor inventory levels and suggest improvements to storage organization
- Perform general warehouse tasks and assist in maintaining a clean, organized environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Proficient in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and reach trucks (2+ years preferred)
- Experience with handheld barcode/RF scanners
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to lift, move, and manage materials in a fast-paced environment

About the Role
How you will contribute
- Work is performed in a traditional warehousing type environment and picking parts according to customer order and placing parts in work areas.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
- Moves items from bulk containers or racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assist in the counting and accurate tracking of materials or items received or distributed. May also assist with the physical counting of inventory.
- Able to work required scheduled deemed necessary to meet the production goals and Key Performance Indicators of the site. Schedule may fluctuate based on the needs of the business.
- Other duties as assigned.

Drive propane or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grabble, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.
This full-time role is a part of our team and reports to the Press Department Supervisor.
Required experience:
- * Change LP gas or electric battery when needed.
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports, load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Inventories materials on work floor, and supply associates with materials as needed and notifies Supervisor of shortages.
- Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules as needed or directed.
- Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
- Ensures all containers are properly identified and are placed in designated areas.
- Ensures all containers are signed off by material handler before moving.
- Ensures all containers are locked and the load is secure before moving.

- Maintains areas in keeping them organized and clean daily.
