**Purpose:** Coordinates the receipt and dispatch of the materials, components, parts and pieces required for the process of assembly and manufacturing according to production schedule and manufacturing
priorities. Supply the components and materials required to the different workstations so that
operators can perform their work. Ensures control and integrity of inventory levels of materials
used in manufacturing processes. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.
**You will be responsible for** **:**
+ Receive, store, and issue materials and chemicals in accordance with company safety standards. Safely handle and transport chemicals using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools (e.g., spill trays, drum dollies) if required. If leaks, or unsafe conditions are noticed; escalate concerns immediately to the EHS department. Prevents mixes of components and facilitates the delivery and handling of the raw material, office supplies and materials to be used in the work stations. Receives lots of products from Manufacturing according to the work plan. Segregates and distributes the lots according to FIFO and/or established priorities.
+ Dispatches the raw material, office supplies and materials to each area. Maintains inventory levels of the raw material and of the "processing supplies" required in manufacturing according to the Kanban system established by area. Transports materials from one department to another manually or by using haul equipment. Configures the batches of products that are sent to be sterilized, when required.
+ Performs material count, as required by the "Cycle Count" program. Generates reports in SAP or others to identify discrepancies. Participates and executes corrective actions as required. Is responsible for ensuring that the established "Cycle Count" metrics are met.
+ Prepares requisition of materials using established forms such as STD. (Stock Transfer Document), etc. Coordinates the acquisition of materials and equipment with the Buyer. Follows up on purchase orders and report any situation to the Area Supervisor.
+ Prepares and submits material inventory adjustments through "Material Inventory Transaction" (MIT's).
+ Receives, organizes, distributes and blocks the clothing required for controlled areas.
+ Collects and sends reusable materials to the corresponding suppliers for those products that apply, such as the Cartridge and Viper trays.
+ Ensures compliance with material efficiency, safety, quality and assistance based on the financial goals of the organization.
+ Motivates and provide effective leadership skills to maintain the highest quality level of productivity and efficiency.
+ Safely and effectively utilizes necessary equipment and tools (scanning equipment, shrink wrap and ladders, etc.) while maintaining proper housekeeping standards for clean and conducive environment. Maintains a safe environment, anticipating and solving emerging situations
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ High School diploma is required.
+ Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing regulated environment is required.
+ Experience in warehouse, shipping, and/or inventory control is preferred.
+ Experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred.
+ Experience in FDA/GMP Regulatory or Quality Assurance is preferred.
+ Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, and/or 12 hours shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

+ For Acrylics Machine Operator, need to be able to set up PO on the manufacturing line. Able to operate equipment and all measuring devices to produce IOL at the Lens Generation area.
+ Ability to perform mathematical computations to set up and run machine and/or process.
+ Performs the necessary tests to run the process and equipment.
+ For PEG (Polyethylene Glycol), manages, utilizes and properly disposes of area reagents and processing supplies, including liquid and solid waste within the Sheet Casting area according to EHS dispositions and rules.
+ For PEG, Washes the PEG fixture trays used in the unload/cleaning operation in the Washer Machine and ensures continuous flow. Documents, prints and analyzes all required information on production orders, PEG sheets, ellipsometer and plasma and pressure charts. Performs line clearance between PEG runs, following good manufacturing practices and established procedures. Maintains work area organized and clean. Performs preventative maintenance of the equipment. Checks equipment functionality, avoiding process deviations. Replaces the cylinders of the PEG, SiCl4 and H2O equipment. Cleans and washes the equipment that has been used.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ Technical Degree in electronics, electricity, refrigeration, mechanics or related technical field and one (1) year of general experience; or J&J Vision Cell Operator Certification and one (1) year of general experience is required.
+ Associate Degree is preferred.
+ Experience as a Manufacturing Operator or similar position is preferred.

Learn more at and coordinates the activities of production personnel in a designated manufacturing area, applying knowledge of production methods, processes, machine and equipment, and production capacities. Proactively meets corporate/divisional and organizational requirements for regulatory compliance with all local and federal agencies. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtains maximum productivity and efficiency in the designated area of responsibility by creatively coordinating and supervising the work of hourly manufacturing personnel.

  • Monitors processes and determined actions to assure costs, productivity, yields, lead time, service levels, and inventory control activities are in line with business goals.

  • Supports/executes validation activities to assure proposals are in line with manufacturing expectations.

  • Provides administrative support to business and quality systems representing the process area being supervised.

  • Executes production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production process and methods, machine and   equipment capabilities, and human resources requirements. Maintains adequate floor control.

  • Responsible for goal setting and developmental activity of employees under their responsibilities. Monitors and provides continuous feedback on employee’s performance and determines required actions.

  • Promotes and assures a safety and teamwork environment according to the organizations values.

  • Coordinates activities with other production supervisors to ensure consistency in employee relations

  • Interfaces with all plant management, engineering, quality, tool-room, maintenance, materials and H.R. personnel in order to meet production requirements

  • Provides input for operational budget and procedures

  • Coordinates new product introductions ensuring operators are trained and new product introduction dates are met

  • Conducts weekly audits within production areas to ensure continued GMP compliance

  • Responsible for pro-active people management

  • Facilitates communication to associates and create a Credo based environment

  • Ensures correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.).

  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree is required. Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering or related field is preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.

  • Availability to work all shifts, weekends and nights is required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing regulated industry is required.

  • Able to read, speak, and write Spanish and English is required.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated experience as a lead or supervisor is required.

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations is required.

  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, E-Mail, word processing and spread sheets is required.

  • Knowledge in SAP is preferred.

  • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to develop and meet deadlines, and be able to delegate and follow-up.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required as well as skills in the following areas: Conflict Resolution, Managing for Performance/Accountability and documenting issues, as well as developing leadership and ownership in individuals.

**Purpose:** Performs a variety of tasks with the work team that makes up the manufacturing line. These includes repetitive and non-repetitive tasks. Operates general manufacturing equipment such as cutting machines, microscopes, comparators, optical benches, among others. When necessary, operates, executes the "setup" and adjusts the parameters of the manufacturing machines / equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards of the manufacturing processes. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.
**You will be responsible for** **:**
+ Operates different equipment ensuring that these comply with Good Manufacturing Practices regulations and procedures and specifications established to manufacture, inspect and verify each unit. Ensures that the equipment used to manufacture have preventive maintenances and calibrations in compliance.
+ Maintains work area clean by sanitizing adequately, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintains work area organized in accordance with the following methods: FIFO, KANBAN, the 5'S program.
+ Responsible for training to the operations established in the training plan. Participates in team meetings, contributes to problem solving and data analysis.
+ Documents in the production orders everything related to quantity of units and materials accepted/and rejected. Completes the necessary forms which compose the history of the order, as applicable. Verifies that all the documentation that appears in the production order is correct to avoid discrepancies between quantities and data. Documents in the line logs applicable to the operation, as established by procedures.
+ Completes production order transactions in the manufacturing system, related to the number of units and materials accepted/rejected, to ensure veracity of the different reports. Completes the daily report of the units produced by process in the manufacturing system. Completes the down-time log in the manufacturing system, stating the reasons to ensure that situations that impact the output of units are worked on.
