Private Practice in Forest Hills, NY, is looking for a Gastroenterologist to join their team full-time.
Compensation: $350k-$400k salary PLUS production bonus.
Schedule: 4.5 days per week (half-day on Sunday). Typical day is 9-5 when doing consults and 7-4 when doing procedures (half day procedures and half day consults); Sundays are always half days (7-1 if doing procedures, 9-1 when doing consults). There is a 1 hour lunch break from 1-2 everyday during which no patients are scheduled.
On-Call Requirements : There is no hospital call. The only call is for the practice to answer phone calls after hours, which are few and far between.
Patient Volume : About 8-12 consults/follow-ups per day and up to 10 procedures per scoping session.
Practice Setting : Outpatient. Adult-only.
EMR : MD Land for patient consults and follow-ups; MDReports for procedures.
Support Staff : Front desk secretaries, MAs, NPs, PAs, prior authorization support for procedures/medications/imaging studies.
Equipment : Office-based endoscopy with anesthesia and laboratory services on-premises. Olympus 190 scopes and equipment.
Benefits : Malpractice insurance, payment for licensing and DEA, professional society dues, health insurance, and retirement plan after a vestment period. 1 week CME. 3 weeks vacation. Consistent professional and financial growth opportunities.
Scope of Practice : Consults, see follow ups and do procedures.
Types of Procedures : EGD, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy. Hemorrhoidal banding per Doctor's choice.

This private gynecology practice opened in 2011 and currently employs a small team of talented providers, along with a dedicated support staff. Their services include, among other offerings, outpatient gynecology care, menopause management, pelvic therapy, and gynecological surgery. They are seeking to add a physician to their team due to growth.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a standard gynecology position within a physician-owned private practice, encompassing both outpatient work and surgical procedures at a nearby hospital.
The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- womens health evaluation and management
- well womens exams
- Pap smears
- menopause management
- treatment of breast disorders and diseases
- pelvic therapy
- outpatient procedures
- gynecological surgeries (hysterectomy, D&C, etc.)
Providers see an average of 15 to 20 patients per day in the office, with the support of dedicated clinical assistants.
The majority of work is outpatient in the clinic, with surgeries scheduled based on patient need and physician availability. Average surgical volume is 10 to 15 cases per month - primarily hysterectomies and D&Cs.
The practice uses an EHR.
There are no on-call, weekend, or evening requirements. Both full-time and part-time options are available.
The practice will work with the new provider to determine a mutually agreeable schedule.
