Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their state-of-the-art distribution center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, US . This role is pivotal to ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods within the supply chain, from receiving to dispatch. The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and staff supervision. You will implement and optimize warehouse processes, ensuring high levels of productivity, accuracy, and safety. Key responsibilities include developing and managing operational budgets, implementing performance metrics (KPIs), managing warehouse staff through effective training and performance management, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control principles, and lean/six sigma methodologies. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics operations is necessary, with experience in managing large teams and complex operations being a strong advantage. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage and direct warehouse staff, including supervisors and associates.
  • Implement and optimize warehouse processes for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and cycle counting procedures.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets and control costs.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or logistics operations.
  • Proven experience managing a team of warehouse staff.
  • Strong understanding of WMS, inventory control, and supply chain principles.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and WMS software.
