FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
- Keeps area neat and clean.
- Read and use a tape measure
- Read blue prints and orders
- Communicate well with coworkers
- Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
Competencies
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
- Must understand safety procedures
- Must have good teamwork skills
- Must live the Champion Operating Principles
Qualifications
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing desired.

Summary of Position
The Junior Team Lead - shipping and receiving is responsible for safe and efficient receiving,
handling, storage of all products within the warehouse and to coach and manage a small group
of employees.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Knowledge and practice of all applicable safety rules and procedures including but not limited to: Safe lifting practices, Safe product storage methods and Safe operation of forklift and electric tugger.
* Ability to coach and manage small groups of employees
* Ability to operate forklift and tugger safely and efficiently. Must pass certification for forklift and tugger operation. Willing to train the right person.
* Ability to store all finished goods safely and efficiently from Visalia manufacturing lines.
* Knowledge of all stock locations/ products and area designations.
* Knowledge of correct labeling requirements.
* Ability to identify and differentiate various inventoried products and characteristics.
* Ability to read and understand all applicable forms and paperwork involved in Warehousing Department, including but not limited to Material Transfer forms and Production Worksheets.
* Take initiative to maintain good 5S housekeeping and a clean and orderly work environment.
* Take initiative to make constructive suggestions involving safety and productivity improvements.
* Ability to load trucks safely and efficiently.
