We are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join us on a project-by-project basis. This part-time role is perfect for those seeking flexibility in their schedule while applying their expertise to impactful projects within a food processing and packaging environment. This position is 1st shift, with varying start & end times depending on each project (for example: 7:00am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4:00pm, 8:00am-4:30pm).
Responsibilities:
+ Work in a variety of roles in the processing and packaging of chocolate, sweets, mints and other great-tasting snacks.
+ Maintain the highest quality of food safety standards, and sanitation standards.
+ Operate processing or packaging equipment as assigned.
+ Perform various checks to include metal detector, date code and weight system check.
+ Clean and inspect equipment.
+ Observe safety procedures.
+ Observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
+ Observe good housekeeping practices.
+ Complete quality checks and associated daily production paperwork as assigned.

Reposition incorrectly deposited cup papers and remove extra cups; replace stretched, cut, or pinched cup papers with acceptable ones.

Remove defective product from inspection belt and place into rework or stockfeed pan.

Monitor product jams and perform metal checks every two hours.

Reject large quantities of unacceptable product when necessary and clean metal detection probes.

**Shift:** Night Shift - 12 Hour Shifts, work 7 consecutive days on followed by 7 consecutive days off.
**Compensation:** $19.00/hourly up to $1.00/hourly based on experience plus 0.40 shift differential
**Principal Accountabilities:**
+ Operate processing and packaging equipment
+ Monitor overall product quality, complete required checks as well as associated daily production paperwork
+ Clean and inspect equipment and work areas
+ Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
+ Detail clean all assigned area of the plant
+ Record and maintain sanitation records and sign off on completed projects on the master sanitation schedule. The use of a computer will be required.
+ Work safely with cleaning chemicals used at the plant
+ Follow all quality requirements to avoid contamination while cleaning
+ Other duties as assigned
**Requirements:**

FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team and perform quality work in a fast-moving and consistent manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
Keeps area neat and clean.
Read and use a tape measure
Read blueprints and orders
Communicate well with coworkers
Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
Competencies
Must have a strong work ethic
Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
Must understand safety procedures
Must have good teamwork skills
Must live the Champion Operating Principles
Qualifications
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired.
