The Lami Lead, Machine Operator is focused on leading and training manufacturing personnel in a manner consistent with the Company's policies and procedures. This role supports the department supervisor in the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) to efficiently, safely and effectively achieve performance targets. In addition, implementing and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The Lami Lead, Machine Operator will report to the Production Supervisor.

Job responsibilities include:

• Coordinate production workflow.
• Ensure Quality/Safety documents and Process Verifications are completed daily.
• Ensure all production schedules are completed at the end of the shift and company standards are met.

• Verify that all personnel, prior to shift start, are wearing the correct safety equipment and safety awareness is maintained throughout the shift.
• Report all safety and quality deficiencies to the supervisor.

Pick replenishments and deliver to the distribution areas by using a cherry picker forklift. Drives a forklift truck, cherry picker and/or motorized pallet jack equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties at Johns Creek Distribution, In Johns Creek, GA.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Pick, stock, pack in an accurate, safe, productive, and professional manner including the following: RF Cluster Picking, RF A-Frame/V-Frame Replenishment, OSR Replenishment, RF Cart Build, RF Audit Counting and RF Put Away.

• Ensure inventory integrity in the pick locations through cycle count process.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.

• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.

• Unload and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

• Inventories materials on work floor.

• Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device.

• Daily expected/metrics must be met.

• Good communication skills.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

• Work Hours: 2nd Shift3:00PM - 11:30PM EST (Monday-Friday)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Familiar with RF scanners used in the order picking process

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted

• Computer literate

• Good mathematical skills

• Experience with operating order pickers

• SAP experience

Shift Differential: 6%–8% of the base hourly rate for applicable hours worked

Responsibilities

The Technical Lead A role is an advanced level machine technician that would be responsible for fully understanding an assigned machine center, while being fully capable of performing minor repairs, PMs and troubleshooting and the machine. This role will build necessary capabilities to take on a mechanic level role at full development.

Responsibilities:

• Support operators through troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing equipment

• Learn and understand all SOPs for mechanic level and operator level positions

• Be familiar to operate all equipment to include normal running parameters, set points, etc

• Execute work orders including special projects, rebuilds and installations when requested

• Work with a sense of urgency to repair and startup the line as quickly as possible

• Develop a working knowledge of basic maintenance principles

• Intermediate electrical troubleshooting

• Execute PMs during planned stoppages to include focus on project work installation, tag closure, standard procedure creation, and work order execution

• Work with vendors as needed for start up, improvement and modification of equipment

• Train operators on equipment standards and technical training modules as needed

• Understand losses of equipment and develop plans to reduce downtime based on highest loss machine per line

• Vacation support for senior production technicians (crew leads)

• Technical level Degree in industrial maintenance
