**Position Summary**
**Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility**
· Operate production machinery while continuously monitoring the quality of output and machine performance.
· Make machine adjustments using company-supplied hand tools and other supplies as needed to ensure product quality and production speed.
· Complete various paperwork and data entry as required by ISO or department procedures.
· Review the job jacket and approved proof for each job to determine customer specifications, such as raw material requirements, type of finish, type of application, and stamping process.
· Communicate all pertinent issues as they relate to quality, production or maintenance directly to the production lead or Process Team Coach.
· Identify, evaluate and initiate corrective action on any aspect of machinery operations, seeking assistance or advice as needed.
· Ensure that all pertinent information related to shift carry-over, including job and machine status, is conveyed to the incoming operators during shift transitions.
· Perform routine operator maintenance of machinery.
· Operate and setup (in some cases) various types of specialized finishing equipment in accordance with job specifications and material requirements.
· Support the plant-wide 5S continuous improvement program by engaging in scheduled operator audits and conducting action improvement items in accordance with the guidance and direction provided by Process Team Coaches and 5S leaders.
· Engage and interface with the production floor supervision system in a timely manner that accurately reflects the various machine status changes that may occur during a shift.
· Assist other operators as needed, including providing machine coverage during breaks and lunch.
· Assist in other departments as production needs dictate.

**Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language**
· Ability to comprehend, speak, write and read English
· Basic math skills
· Knowledge of basic hand tools, as well as calipers

**Preferred Qualifications**

Performs the operational functions of data manipulation on various types of label equipment within the department to meet production quality standards and deadlines.

- Operates the label machines properly and efficiently in order to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule.
- Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials.
- Communicates label production issues with the Production Supervisor or the Manager.
- Maintains a daily and weekly schedule of cleaning and maintenance for the machines within the department.
- Performs distribution functions as needed.
- Maintains inventory levels of raw materials within the production areas.
- Keeps an accurate log of raw materials used in the production of labels. Logs date and ID number of cartons of product to maintain a FIFO inventory and to identify any quality control problems with raw materials.
- Uses TCM system to log each job accurately and correctly to record time and materials for each job.
- Responsible for maintenance of all dies.
- Keeps all work areas safe, clean and in good condition.
- Follows any other instructions given by supervisors and/or management to complete other tasks or projects, ensuring the objectives are accomplished accurately and within the timeframe allotted.
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area, uses required PPE, and follows all safety rules and procedures.
- May be required to work overtime or on another shift as needed.

This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, 04-years experience is 44,500-53,800 and for 5+ years experience is 49,600-60,100. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

We're hiring **Forming Machine Operators** for the **3rd shift (11 PM - 7:30 AM)** . Training will be on the **1st shift (7 AM - 3:30 PM)** for approximately three months.

This position is responsible to set up and run department equipment to form finished bearings and bushings.
+ Operates up to 3 machines simultaneously according to standard operating procedures, or special instruction from supervisor.
+ Clears machine jams, makes adjustments as needed.
+ Performs SPC checks and procedures.
+ Monitors and updates status of work orders.
+ Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency and safety.
+ Clean and maintain machinery, tools, and work area as scheduled or as needed.
+ Maintain necessary records as required by SOPs and work instructions.
+ Visually observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance condition (either product or process) to supervisor, or manager as required.
+ Disassemble and reassemble machines and replace parts as required.
