Primary Function
Ardurra is looking for an Aviation Client Services Manager/Project Manager for our growing aviation group. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing projects and serving as a client manager for airport design and construction projects within specific regions. The ideal individual will provide mentoring to junior staff, QA/QC, and pursue relationships with existing and potential clients.
The ideal individual for this role will be joining a very well-established aviation group with a diverse workload in airfield service projects. From project planning, regulatory approvals, environmental compliance, financial planning, legislative strategy, land acquisition, and design phasing, this individual will be heavily involved in projects from design to completion!
The individual will also be required to serve as Client Services Manager for Ardurra clients to maintain effective communication with customers, update the status of existing projects, and develop ongoing new business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience designing and delivering projects in the aviation sector
- Professional Engineer’s license
- Experience in airport design, construction administration, and project management
- Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design and the FAA grant process
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor existing staff and develop new staff as needed to support growth of the aviation group
- Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment
Key Responsibilities
- Managing projects involving development of detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for airports and a variety of other aviation related projects
- Develop proposals as required in response to requests for proposals/qualifications and help identify teaming opportunities
- Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate with multiple departments and/or sub-consultants for multi-discipline projects
- Ability to create, calibrate, modify, and suggest alternatives for plans, and interpret and communicate the results to others
- Perform communication and business development duties with current and potential clients
- Serve as supervisor and mentor to junior staff
Salary Range
$140K to $180K (DOE)

- Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle
- Ability to travel for site visits, client meetings, etc.

This role will provide technical expertise in asphalt and concrete needed to ensure jobs are measured, priced, and executed according to customer specs and within budget.
Project Manager Responsibilities :
- Monitors portals, publications, databases, and/or groups to select potential jobs for bidding.
- Reviews prepared cost estimates and proposals.
- Reviews take-offs, organizes bonds and permits, and communicates with sub-contractors to determine the financial needs of completing a project.
- Identifies, measures, and tracks labor, material, and time for job costing and actual vs estimate analysis.
- Recruits, trains, retains, and manages estimating department, including conducting bi-weekly direct report meetings to ensure team is focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Coordinates with the client on all changes in scope, questions, addendums, or clarifications regarding the work during the bidding process.
- Acts as a resource to operations during the award/start-up phase to clarify any issues regarding what was considered in the estimate, such as materials and methods of construction.
- Creates and monitors progress of job measurements, takeoffs, customer proposals, and work orders.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management concrete , structural, foundations, curb and gutter.
Must have experience with structural concrete projects. - Experience with Bluebeam, Building Connected, Construct Connect, Procore a plus.
- Ability to read civil plans and develop cost estimates.
- Detail orientated with ability to pick out details within huge plans.
- Process driven with ability to pivot and adapt to each project/issue/challenge.
- Concrete, asphalt, base stone, and excavation experience a huge plus.
- Strong analytical ability, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Ability to independently manage own work and ask questions until resolution is achieved
