Responsibilities
The Project Specialist provides support for a broad range of activities. Completes assigned projects and tasks in a timely and high-quality manner, actively collaborates with the team and other Legacy Health departments on new and ongoing projects. The Project Specialist assists in the areas of data management, reporting, takes the lead for assigned projects, and provides support to managers and supervisors for project implementation. Participates in problem solving and project/task coordination at all levels of the project implementation as required. Work is generally performed independently requiring judgment and problem solving skills under limited supervision.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in health care, business administration, or related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
Two years prior related work experience, to include planning and project coordination, required. Demonstrated PC skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated problem-solving, data analysis, and project management skills. Process improvement experience in a health care setting strongly preferred. Medical record, medical terminology, and experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills including composition, editing, and
proofreading.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to coordinate efforts with team members within and outside of own department.
Ability to systematically trouble-shoot problems and coordinate resolution.
Strong customer-support skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with confidential information.
