We are seeking an experienced Public External Communication Manager to lead strategic campaign management initiatives. This role involves serving as the primary liaison with external PR agencies, overseeing agency deliverables, and managing project timelines to ensure the successful execution of corporate PR campaigns and product launches.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the primary liaison with external PR agencies, ensuring flawless execution of the corporate PR campaign and product launch initiatives.
+ Oversee agency deliverables, coordinate interviews, and manage project timelines to ensure all campaign elements are completed on schedule.
+ Act as a campaign/project manager, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and escalating to leadership as needed.
+ Own local media outreach for product campaigns, including building targeted media lists for major U.S. cities and pitching to traditional and non-traditional outlets.
+ Repurpose agency press releases into compelling pitches tailored for local reporters and bloggers.
+ Execute outreach via email and cold calling, building authentic relationships with media contacts to maximize coverage and event attendance.
+ Collaborate with agencies to adapt national messaging for local relevance, ensuring alignment with brand voice and campaign objectives.
+ Track and organize media coverage, providing clear recaps and insights to internal stakeholders.
+ Use media tools to monitor media placements, track campaign performance, and report on reach and sentiment.
+ Document outreach efforts and results, balancing quality and quantity of coverage, and providing context for campaign outcomes.
+ Assist with editorial calendar pulls, thought leadership audits, and internal coordination for campaign rollouts as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.70 - $62.50/hr.
