ABOUT YOU:
Are you an experienced Quality Control Manager looking for a challenging and rewarding role in Manufacturing?
Our Quality Control Manager is responsible for implementing and executing quality control methods for the plant and for developing, and managing the systems needed to ensure our products meet or exceed company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
They oversee and manage all quality control processes and monitor quality control department operations as well as quality engineering. Together, they analyze, investigate and troubleshoot product and production issues, developing corrective actions, solutions and improvements, while implementing quality standards.
Our Quality Control Manager supports and partners with continuous improvement engineers to drive process improvement and quality goals.
YOU HAVE:
+ Education: Bachelors Degree in Quality, Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or related field, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience: 5+ years of experience in Quality Control, Manufacturing, Process Management/Engineering.
+ Leadership & Innovation: Demonstrated success leading a team as a Manager or Supervisor. Displays a history of game-changing strategies and transformation initiatives.
+ Systems & Tools expertise: Advanced skills in Excel and strong Word, PowerPoint and Outlook experience. ERP & QMS Software experience a plus.
+ Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of QC control methodologies, inspection techniques, manufacturing processes and product development.
+ Communication & Collaboration: Great interpersonal skills, strong communication and problem-solving skills. Well developed influencing, presentation and negotiating skills.
+ Analytical & Organizational Strength: Excellent analytical thinking, detail-oriented, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Methodologies or Lean Principles: Lean Six-Sigma, Kaizen, and/or Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement training or experience.
+ Preferred skills: Certifications in CQE, CMQ/OE and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification. ERP and QMS Software experience.
YOU WILL:
+ Manage Quality Control Processes: Develop and implement Quality Control procedures and policies to ensure our products and services meet and exceed customer expectations.
+ Implement and Grow QC Systems: Lead the development of the Quality Management Systems, focusing on quality objectives and customer satisfaction.
+ Provide Performance Insights to Leadership: Conduct in-depth analysis of quality reports/data and audit findings, and deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
+ Partner with Stakeholders: Serve as a consultative advisor to the Operations team on Quality Control policies, practices and objectives, as well as plans for improvement. Collaborate with operations, manufacturing engineering and their teams to ensure quality goals are met.
+ Communicate Vision and Goals: Present complex data in an engaging and visually attractive format, tailoring the message according to your audience, while supporting the business objectives.
+ Lead and Develop a Team: Manage quality control direct and indirect reports, supporting their professional development, fostering growth and accountability, and ensuring team success.
+ Maintain Vendor Relationships: Create and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet our demand, specifications, and other requirements in a timely manner.
+ Support Change & Innovation: Cultivate a mindset of flexibility and openness, embracing and leading change, new ideas, collaboration, continuous improvement and adaptability.

**Overview**
The Quality Control Specialist II contributes to the overall success of the organization by ensuring products and services meet customers' expectations, regulatory requirements, project specifications, and the quality control program, The individual is expected to continuous improvement in safety outcomes, operational efficiency and team effectiveness.
**Responsibilities**
+ Quality Documentation: Managing and maintaining comprehensive documentations of quality control activities, inspections results, weld maps, torque maps and compliance records.
+ Site QC Audits: The individual will be responsible for visual inspection to ensure the installed product meets project requirements, company standards and local codes. Thus, communicating any quality issues or concerns to supervisors, Foreman, and project managers to ensure that we meet customers specifications, local codes and standards.
+ QC Project Reporting: Project reporting involves documenting and communicating project's unresolved issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The individual is responsible for enhancing product quality, reducing waste, optimizing processes, and increasing efficiency. This includes collaborating with project superintendents, Foreman and project managers to implement best practices and quality improvement.
+ Review of project documents: This individual will review project documents for accuracy and completeness, checking for errors, inconsistencies, and missing information. They are responsible for ensuring that quality control processes and products comply with industry standards, local codes and customer specifications.
+ Mentoring and Training: Provide knowledge, skills and guidance to Quality Control Specialist 1 and project team members.
**Qualifications**
**Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications**
+ 4+ years' experience in fabrication shop quality control
+ Quality Control training is required.
+ OSHA 30
+ 20 hours Continuing Education
+ Working knowledge of construction codes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
+ Working knowledge of regulatory agency requirements as it pertains to quality control.
+ Working knowledge of nondestructive testing techniques.
+ Ability to read and understand construction documents (contracts/subcontracts, purchase documents, plans, and specifications.).
+ Ability to act as a specialist in quality control, keeping up with changes in the industry, and updating staff as well as corporate for any necessary procedural updates.
+ Proven ability to supervise, communicate and lead personnel.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
+ Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
+ Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
**Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications**
+ 4-year degree in a related field.
+ 5 years of hands-on experience in the layout, fitting, and welding steel pipe and sheet metal.
+ Construction claims experience.
+ Certifications (welding, quality control, nondestructive testing techniques, etc).
+ Expert level knowledge of all welding methods, procedures, and quality control.
+ Working knowledge of all tools and equipment.
**Travel Requirements**
+ 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
**Physical/Work Environment Requirements**
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
+ Climbing stairs.
+ Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

Duro-Last Roofing, the world's largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a Quality Assurance Technical Representative (Roofing Inspector) in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area. This is a full-time, year-round, salary-based position with a company vehicle, cell phone, tablet and expense account provided.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
• Physically inspect roof installations for quality and workmanship.
• Issue the roof warranty in accordance with the Duro-Last specifications.
• Make repairs to Duro-Last roofs.
• Conduct on-site training classes and offer guidance to contractors in proper roof installation.
• Provide support to Duro-Last contractors and sales reps in territory.
• Schedule inspections and repairs and prepare reports for warranties.
• This is a physically challenging position that requires bending, lifting, pulling, climbing, etc.
• Other job duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Two to four years of experience in commercial low slope roofing, construction, roof inspection or quality assurance is highly desirable.
• Individual must be equipped with strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation and communication skills (both orally and written).
• Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Demonstration of strong work ethics (punctual, dependable, and trustworthy) is necessary.

What you will be doing:
- Leading Investigations relating to Product Quality Incidents and Defective Material
- Performing control and containment of non-conforming products or materials
- Developing and Administering Product and Material Dispositions
- Utilizing data analysis to trend/chart material and product quality incidents with the intent to collaborate cross-functionally to address root causes and implement corrective/preventative actions.
- Applying established sampling/inspection plans and procedures, perform analytical evaluations to monitor quality attributes to meet specified requirements.
- Performing moderately sophisticated tasks and analyses with minimal direction demonstrating proficiency with a range of techniques.
- Performing Factory Quality Assurance Audits, including QMS and CC&S audits.
- Verifying/Calibrating of laboratory & manufacturing equipment and adjust accordingly within a predefined and limited protocol.
- Documenting, analyzing & reporting test results and communicate to QA Management and Manufacturing.
- Proven ability to develop, document and validate new WI's or improve existing documentation.
- Moderate understanding of Qualification process.
- Engagement with Integrated Work System and utilizing tools to identify and drive out losses.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Science OR equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing or Quality Assurance Experience
- Solid Understanding of Quality Systems
- Knowledge of basic statistical methods and analysis
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills (i.e. root cause analysis)
- Experience with LIMS, Databases, TrackWise and Inventory Management Systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
- Must be willing to work A, B or C shift.
