The Quality Control 3 is responsible for following the M.C. Dean Quality Control (QC) Program to achieve and verify quality expectations for a durable and reliable installation. The Quality Control 3 is responsible for performing field inspections to ensure work is in compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Job duties and responsibilities: Document, Implement and Manage Quality Control Plan on the project.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Contract document review for compliance: RFP, Specs, Drawings, Submittals, etc.
+ Review design documents for constructability and contract compliance.
+ Implement 3-Phase Quality Control approach: Preparatory meetings, Initial inspections, and Follow-up inspections for all applicable Definable Features of Work.
+ Create detailed project specific installation checklists for field workers.
+ Perform inspections on all work performed in detail, efficiently, and in conjunction with Owner/QC.
+ Collect data, analyze for continuous improvement, and share with project team weekly.
+ Participate in daily safety meetings to discuss Quality issues and concerns.
+ Attend all required project meetings to provide resolution to any Quality issues from Owner/QC.
+ Manage and assist in resolving all Quality or Commissioning punch-lists.
+ Direct interface with GC/Owner to ensure requirements are understood and communicated to the project team.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
+ The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years construction experience on construction similar to the relevant contract with a high school diploma / GED.
+ Extensive knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC 3-Phase Quality Control System Experience on military bases, government contracts
+ Journeyman's Electrical License, preferred and graduate from a certified Apprenticeship Program, preferred
+ Must pass basic background check

The Quality Control / Quality Assurance Team Lead will provide quality control reviews for functions supporting the Debt Management Collection Services (DMCS) program.

DMCS Contact Center Quality team is an essential part of the DMCS program. Its objective is to utilize operational techniques and activities to satisfy quality requirements. Quality includes activities aimed at the detection and correction of errors, faults, discrepancies and/or defects in products or services prior to delivery. QC activities generate testing or review results of work efforts and provide feedback that supports Quality Assurance (QA) and drives continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues.
- Follow procedures and directions to assess the quality of service provided through monitoring incoming calls and other work types which focusing on the quality of customer service, accuracy of information provided, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Conduct call monitoring sessions to ensure workers are performing in accordance with established quality and performance standards.
- Provide feedback on call monitoring results.

- Work with external auditors during periodic reviews and audits, assisting in preparation of annual audit schedules

- Monitor and evaluate correspondence and phone activities and complete scorecards to assess each item according to guidance provided and provide a constructive assessment.

- Maintain and update databases, score cards, reports, and documents with high degree of accuracy.

- Identify accounts requiring escalation, escalating immediately if warranted.

- Utilize the feedback tool to give and receive constructive feedback on call quality and department tasks.

- Preform administrative functions that support the process of reports and appeals.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal regulations, policies, and procedures as they apply to student financial aid.

- Maintain current understanding of the processing procedures.

- Utilize available systems, knowledge-base and standard technology such as telephone, e-mail, and web browser to respond to inquiries and perform job duties.

Position Description

E.R. Snell Contractor is looking for an Asphalt Quality Control Technician. The Quality Control Technician position entails the testing and inspection of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) materials used to construct pavements to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.

What will you be doing?

  • This position is responsible for controlling the quality of the production of hot mix asphalt through inspection of the plant, production materials, and jobsite review as well as conducting routine and special laboratory testing to ensure conformance standards.
  • Proficiently and accurately sample and conduct visual inspection and laboratory testing of construction materials according to the appropriate standard test methods to insure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping and arrival on the jobsite.
  • Communicate and document test results to plant operator, supervisor and operations.
  • Review mix designs and product to job specifications of upcoming projects.
  • Prepare various QC reports and formulating specific recommendations to resolve or correct quality issues.
  • Visually inspecting stockpiles, materials sources, plant and truck loads at plant sites.
  • Conduct testing and assisting in plant inspection and calibration to insure the proper quality of the product.
  • Verify outside construction materials testing laboratory results and maintain accurate, timely records of test data, product quality, and defective materials.
  • Perform various tests in an orderly, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Prepare various QC reports and formulate specific recommendations to resolve or correct quality issues; and work with outside venders, agencies, and customers on a variety of quality related issues.
  • Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts.
  • The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending as well as periodic lifting of up to 50 pounds.

**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Atlanta, GA location in the Heart Failure Division. In Abbott's Heart Failure (HF) business, we're developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
The inspector provides an independent, unbiased evaluation of materials or the work of others. The results of the Inspector's evaluation are documented and communicated to organizational stakeholders with an interest in the evaluation's outcome - typically, this is supplier development and/ or manufacturing. The Inspector's approval certifies the work, or material meets the division's quality system requirements. Will provide technical assistance to support manufacturing efforts by implementing corrective and preventative actions
**What You'll Work On**
+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
+ Audits materials or the work of others through the examination, inspection, measurement, or test of raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies and documentation.
+ Documents the non-conformance or suspected non-conformance to standards (i.e. manufacturing documentation, material/ component specifications, operating procedures, and domestic/ international standards) through the identification of unsuccessful audits, the completion of required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing his or her mark (i.e. stamp, sign-off or signature).
+ Handle discrepant materials per the documented disposition and document activities in the appropriate systems or paperwork.
+ Communicates the status of audit metrics and other assignments, responsibilities, and duties verbally and through the completion and publishing of periodic reports.
+ Performs simple statistical analysis through the collection and input of data into software applications or manual calculations.
+ Trains new, entry level, and less experienced Quality Auditors through on-the-job training, group training, and one-on-one guidance.
+ Issues, stores, count and maintains inventory into the different storage areas.
+ Handles, disposes, transfer and document appropriately hazardous waste.
+ Provides input to engineering during qualification, validation studies and reports by collecting, compiling, measuring, organizing, recording data by writing procedures.
+ Develops and implements process improvements by assisting Engineering in researching and validating changes in processes/equipment and test methods to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time per established procedures. Works with engineering to identify probable root cause for manufacturing issues and may provide solutions.
**Required Qualifications**

+ Applies solid knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and complete understanding fundamentals in a functional area, as well as knowledge of general technical concepts in relation to other related disciplines.
