General Summary

A Construction Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet specified standards and requirements. The primary focus is on maintaining the quality of the construction process and the final product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Must have the ability to read, and interpret construction drawings
* Perform difficult and challenging construction and project management functions including planning, directing and budgeting for assigned projects.
* Responsible for coordinating inspections with the government, documenting findings, and resolving all deficiencies.
* Responsible for government inspections and subcontract inspections for definable feature of work.
* Review, approve and manage deliverables.
* Review and assist with project design plan review to accomplish contractual objectives and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades and crafts.

* Perform desktop publishing. Creates and assists in the development of visual presentations for the section.

* Responsible for keeping current on government regulations and commercial trends. Monitors project compliance requirements to ensure compliance with all required codes and standards
* Maintain customer relations through communication both face to face, and digital. Professional appearance is desirable.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

* Knowledge of U.S. Government procurement regulations and labor laws desirable
* Must have or be able to pass Corps of Engineers CQM class for contractors
* Advanced management and employee, and customer relations skills.
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project.
* Experience with P6 (Oracle) is preferred.
* Experience with ProCore is preferred
* Advanced attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple tasks and demands.

Work Experience

* 5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Quality Control Inspector Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect structural steel for plumb, level, and elevation per AISC Codes and Standards.
  • Inspect welding and handling of welding materials for compliance with drawings and governing standards.
  • Inspect bolted and/or riveted structural connections by fastening materials, faying surfaces, tension, etc.
  • Assist in the inspection of materials received on the job site.
  • Assist in the inspection of all phases of steel erection, equipment installation, etc.
  • Perform on site internal audit to confirm, or establish compliance with AISC, AWS, and company QA/QC Manual.

- Demonstrates good organizational, planning and time management skills
- Must plan and conduct daily activities in a highly organized manner to ensure all QC and QA data are properly and accurately recorded
- On a daily basis monitor and record all work scope being executed and follow reporting criteria as determined by FQM and/or the client, as needed.
- Prevents deficiencies while working closely with field operating teams, through pre-construction quality control inspections
- Detects deficiencies and addressed deficiencies in a timely and effective manner
- Work closely with the field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA/QC requirements

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing relationships with other departments and vendors who provide maintenance and constructions services across all buildings, single family and multifamily properties. This role ensures that the maintenance teams and vendors meet obligations, deliver quality of service, and maintain the functionality and safety of all facilities. Performance monitoring and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective maintenance services along with operational efficiency and compliance are key responsibilities. This position acts as the subject matter expert for all plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training and counseling to internal and external maintenance teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues and support organizational goals.
  • Develop policies, standards and best practices and ensure compliance and consistency throughout all properties.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop plans and implement goals and objectives for maintenance operations. Prepare and oversee the administration of internal policies and procedures; interpret and explain applicable rules, laws, and regulations to supervisors and others.
  • Perform QC inspections on property work orders; ensure proper condition of units including compliance with Federal, State and local building, construction and health codes.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs of housing units after accidental damage resulting from such crises as fire, windstorm, or water damage. Includes overseeing emergency procurement of damage mitigation services as needed.
  • Track and assign preventative maintenance, recommend repairs and replacements in line with budget initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.
  • Mediate issues identified from inspections or complaints; conduct follow up inspections of completed work and repairs.
  • Ensure fire extinguishers and elevators are inspected and in compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
  • Is available on call for all emergencies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to plan and organize workload; Excellent organizational and administrative skills

Overview

The Quality Assurance and Training Coordinator is responsible for monitoring a variety of customer service work activities and processes within the Utility Billing Office to improve and/ or maintain overall efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of operations. The Quality Assurance and Training Coordinator ensures compliance with applicable ordinances, policies and procedures by performing quality reviews and training throughout the entire Utility Billing Office division including call center, billing, customer support and revenue protection.

Responsibilities

* Conducts assigned quality reviews by performing and/ or observing activities and processes, compiling information, documenting results, and identifying issues or areas of improvement
* Provides guidance and/ or training on processes and procedures to customer service team members
* Assists in reviewing, developing, implementing and maintaining division processes, standard operating procedures, and related documents
* Provides recommendations and feedback to management for process improvements related to assignments
* Analyzes data for trends, summarizes findings, and makes recommendations for training and coaching
* Develops, generates and maintains customized reports used to evaluate business process measures, work requirements, and briefs management on findings
* Assists with the development and administration of customer observation surveys and other special projects
* May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work

* Exempt - Full-Time
* Non rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed
* In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.
