Job Responsibilities
• Job is an individual contributor.

• Assist with operation setup lines and area according to established procedures and specifications.
• Verify correct setup and running of equipment to obtain desired results.
• Inspect product periodically through the shift to verify specifications are being met.
• Assist the operator in troubleshooting equipment when necessary.
• Be able to perform operator job functions when not present.
• Contact management support if there are any problems that may arise.
• Keep area clean.
• Follow Safety lockout/tag-out procedures.
• Communicate any issues to management.
• Follow instructions well and assist others as needed.
• Understand and follow/instruct others on GMP's.
• Work in a safe manner and report any unsafe conditions to the management.
• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
• 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work at machine speed.
• Ability to understand written English preferred.
• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Education
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
Work Environment
• Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
• Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.
• This role does not require any domestic travel
• Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.

**A Typical Work Day May Include:**
+ Performing facility operations such as loading/unloading trucks, vessels, barges, and rail cars, filling/reclaiming grain ground piles, and various other grain handling tasks
+ Basic maintenance and operator care of equipment to ensure ongoing facility operations
+ Providing excellent customer service and engaging with team members
+ Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures

**What You Will Need:**
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
+ Must be 18 years or older

Join our team as a Quality Control Laboratory Tech and play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated professional to support our facility through comprehensive testing of finished products, packaging, and raw materials. In this hands-on role, you'll dive into testing finished products, packaging, and raw materials-making sure everything is up to spec before it reaches our customers. You'll be a key player in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work directly impacts the safety and satisfaction of consumers. This is an exciting opportunity to support finished product, packaging, and raw material testing within a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities
+ Conduct laboratory testing to ensure products meet established specifications
+ Accurately enter and consolidate lab data, and report findings to operational teams
+ Support internal audits and maintain laboratory equipment
+ Participate in cross-training within chemistry labs to enhance team flexibility
+ Test finished goods, raw materials (milk, oil, corn syrup), and packaging for compliance.
+ Conduct cream release, component, and identity (ID) testing on incoming materials.
+ Execute quality control tests on raw, in-process, and finished products.
+ Perform mathematical calculations related to quality assurance.
+ Calibrate Charm SL equipment and prepare FT2 cleaning and zero solutions.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in compliance with safety and contamination policies.
+ Monitor and record temperatures of refrigerators and incubators daily.
+ Manage sample receipt, handling, and testing for finished products, raw materials, and packaging.
+ Record, review, and verify data using Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
+ Execute laboratory procedures and the Internal Control Plan (ICP) with accuracy.
+ Enter test results and perform all required transactions in SAP and related data systems.
+ Consolidate, trend, and report laboratory data to operations; escalate out-of-spec results promptly.
+ Manage inventory and ordering of lab consumables.
+ Revise protocols and process flows as needed.
+ Conduct routine quality and food safety audits.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Obtain and maintain Appendix N certification; complete annual split samples.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in a life science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Food Science).
+ Understanding of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety regulations.
+ Proficiency with quality control, quality assurance, wet chemistry, titration, and chemical testing.
+ Ability and understanding to follow quality assurance checks/inspections/lab tests
+ Knowledge of food science, USDA, HACCP, SQF, QC, GMP, wet chemistry, titration, and chemical testing.
Work Environment
+ Time split between lab and production floor to conduct sampling and testing.
+ Tasks include sensory evaluation, instrument calibration, and bulk material testing (milk, sugar, oil).
